Our Florida Vacation Part 1

Our vacation really began when Dave and Shirley
showed up to see about taking care of Maynard, our beloved cat friend,
while we were away. Maynard missed us.

It was a beautiful sunrise on the beach
We spent nearly 23 hours in the car driving 1300 miles
from KC. We were tired!
we stayed at the Sea Crest motel in Indiatlantic, FL
The next morning, two days before Christmas we were up
early on our way to the Magic Kingdom at DisneyWorld just 1.5 hours away.
Early! that's the secret... We were at the gate by
8 AM and had no lines, no waiting for Jungle Cruise, Haunted House,
Pirates of the Carribean and some of the other favorites..
We rode thru tomorrow world, helped Buzz fend off the evil emperor, Zerg,
and were attacked by aliens.
It was a wonderful day...
Some of us rode the roller coaster at Thunder Mountain.
Then came the Christmas parade at 2pm it was starting
to get crowded. Big floats and lots of people,
They could use some viewing stands or bleachers for people at a place
that has so many parades.
We enjoyed the wildlife almost as much as the parade. It was
almost wall to wall people by late afternoon as we waited for a train ride.
The next day we were back on the beach
The water was cool 62 F. and the waves were
wild
The sea gulls were hungry and liked bread.
Feed one and a whole flock appears.
On Christmas morning we enjoyed fishing on the pier 20
miles north at Coco Beach.
I hear this is an excellent place to watch a shuttle
launch.
