An "Empty Leg" or "Dead Head" is a portion of a trip that is flying without passengers or freight, hence it is empty. These legs can be a valuable asset to flight operators, however, typically these legs go unfound and fly empty. The Request A Trip service allows operators to post their 'empty legs', which, in turn, are sold for the operators, increasing operators' revenues. "Idle" or "Transient" aircraft is an aircraft that is sitting idle, at an airport, other than its home base, for any extended period of time. These aircraft will typically sit, and do nothing, waiting for their trip to commence. The Request A Trip service does attempt to sell, this unused capactiy, to travelers, who do have a use for the idle aircraft.
The service does offer people exactly the right aircraft, availability, and service level adequate to their needs, depending upon the accuracy, time, and budget requirements of each particular mission.
Boomer Travel has access to a real time database, which does show the location of various aircraft; including everything from small prop aircraft to 'heavy' jets. The Request A Trip system makes shopping for an aircraft charter easy. Use the form, which does follow, on this page; enter the type of aircraft requested, set the opening bid price, and select a date to close bidding. Boomer Travel will then send your trip request to qualified aircraft operators, who will competitively bid for your business.
