Doris Day Biography (Bio):

Born April 3, 1924. Birthname: Doris Kappelhoff.

An Actress and Singer. Sings with the Bob Crosby and Les Brown swing bands. Signs a movie contract with Warner Brothers. Becomes a leading lady in 1950's Musicals, and 1960's Romantic Comedies. She is the Top Box-Office star of the early sixties.

Known as the typically wholesome, American girl with her freckles and her enthusiasms showing. She's the darling of movie-goers in such pictures as "Please Don't Eat the Daisies," and "Move Over Darling." Cuts records for Columbia (she made 48 sides one year) and makes two movies a year.
