Birthdate: August 16,1928.

An Actress and leading lady of 1940's / 1950's Musicals and Dramas. She begins her career at the age of 15. In 1944 she appears in four Hollywood Musicals - her most famous musical partner Donald O'Connor.
1945: Receives an Academy Award Nomination for her role as the disturbing, ill-behaved daughter in the movie Mildred Pierce.
