From: Elisa Levy-Narcisso Date: 29 August 2005 My Dear Friends! I am delighted to invite you to attend Lenarci Foundation 1st Annual Dinner & Gala Dance event, December 30, 2005, at the Mirador Ballroom in Bluefields. This Annual Gala Dance, hosted by yours truly, promises to be the premier social event of the year. This event is designed to bring together people, primarily from the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua, in an elegant celebratory fashion to meet, greet and commemorate who we are and all that we have and can continue to accomplished. The theme of the dance this year is "Caribbean Dreams." This is of course a first for us here in Bluefields. I have been, for many years, organizing and hosting gala dances, mother's day dinners and other events in California, and I am proud to be able to "bring this fête home" and enjoy a wonderful and elegant occasion such as this one with an elite group of individuals such as your self. One of the highlights of this event will be the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to the Outstanding Citizen of the Year. The Outstanding Achievement Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional achievement in his/her chosen field or interest. Qualifications sought in candidates include, but are not limited to: outstanding leadership skills, community service, preeminence in teaching, and devotion to the advancement of people. Without a doubt the nominee this year is known internationally. She has received many accolades for her untiring, loyal, outstanding, and unselfish efforts in fostering the ideals, spirit, traditions and growth of the Caribbean Culture and rich traditional dance of Nicaragua. Another highlight of this event is the launching of a new organization; The Lenarci Foundation will be making its official debut on December 30, 2005. Established in 2004, Lenarci is an organization, whose mission is to promote cultural and educational excellence and advancement through public awareness programs, education, sports and financial assistance. We are in the process of completing a strategic plan, which will be available for viewing on this site. Furthermore, this site will provide information on Lenarci's leadership, activities and forthcoming events. Lenarci Foundation is an organization for the advancement of the Nicaraguan people of the Caribbean. Our web site will provide access to a variety of information and resources in all of Nicaragua and abroad. There will be a listing of the officers and members of the Board of Directors, Technical Committees, and other associates. A membership section will describe member programs, services and benefits. Other sections of the site will provide information relating to Lenarci's publications, Calendar of Events, and more. Information on the upcoming Nicaraguan International Softball Tournament ("NIST") that will be held in Bluefields next month will be posted on August 25th. Please visit http://www.lenarci.com today.
