Dear Friends and Family,

We are all shocked and heartbroken over the sudden passing of our beloved Harry Brautigam. We thank you
for your calls and prayers during this difficult time.
A celebration of Harry's life will begin Friday, June 6th. Below is the itinerary. Please feel free to forward this information.

The family is also asking each of you who would like to, to reply with a written memory of how Harry
touched your life--it could be just a passing moment, a funny story, any good memory would be greatly
appreciated. We would like to compile them into a book about his life.

It is with profound sadness that we report the untimely death of Dr. Harry Emil Brautigam Ortega.
Harry died tragically on Friday, May 30, 2008 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. No doubts that this sad event has been very disturbing for us and for the many other people who knew and cared for him. Words cannot express how sorry we are about the latest distressing occurrence that has touched us so deeply.
Our most profound condolences to his family and relatives, we are thinking of them in this time of loss and bereavement. ¡Our loss is huge!

It is with great sadness to report the death of MRS. GERTRUDE GUTHRIE. She passed away on
Wednesday morning April 9, 2008, in Pembroke Pines, FL. Mother Guthrie was our ALUMNI MOTHER OF THE YEAR 2006.
Viewing will be on Friday, April 11th, at Vista Memorial, located at: 14200 NW 57th Avenue, Hialeah, Florida, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12th, at Prince of Peace Moravian Church, located at 1880 NW Miami Gardens Drive, Miami Gardens, FL, at 11:00 AM.
The Alumni Association of the Colegio Moravo expresses its condolences to the entire Guthrie family. May she rest in peace in the arms of her Savior.

Karina Gordon (alumnus of the Moravian School) stayed in second place in the Miss Nicaragua beauty pageant on Saturday. She will be representing our country in several pageants abroad.

Alumni of the Colegio Moravo and former Miss Moravo, Scharllette Alexandra Allen Moses, (currently student of the Bluefields Indian and Caribbean University / Miss Bluefields) is the winner of the Miss Oneness 2008 Beauty Pageant. She will be travelling to London in July to represent the Caribbean Coast and Nicaragua at the prestigious Miss Global International Pageant.

It is with great sadness that we report the death of our alumna, Ella Halsall Levy, member of the Class of 1938. She passed away today, January 25, 2008, in Bluefields, Nicaragua. She is survived by her husband, Hubert Levy '36, her bothers: Fritz Halsall '41, Will Halsall, & Erick Halsall; daughters: Sonia Levy '62, Miriam Levy '68, Stephanie Levy '74, and Lisa Halsall. The Almuni Association expresses its condolences to them and the rest of the Levy-Halsall family. May she rest in peace in the comfort of her Savior.
