HISTORICAL DATA
The 1950 Plymouth Suburban was the 2nd year the Chrysler Corporation
produced an all metal station wagon. The all metal concept was the first
of its kind in American automotive history. The Plymouth Suburban was influential
in the demise of the wood body station wagons and by 1955 the all metal
station wagon was the norm of every American automotive manufacturer.
27,910 Plymouth Suburbans were manufactured in 1950 of which
this vehicle is the 6,975 th produced.
