The vineyard of the God of Hosts is the house of Israel.

1. You brought a vine from Egypt, cleared out nations to plant it; you prepared the ground and made it take root to fill the land. Antiphon
2. Why have you now torn down its walls? All who pass by steal the grapes. wild boars tear up its roots, and wild beasts devour its fruit. Antiphon
3. Turn our way, God of might, and see. Cherish the vine which you planted, rest your hand upon your chosen one who draws strength from you. Antiphon
4. We have not turned from you, Lord God. Give us new life, we invoke you. Restore to us the light of your presence and we shall be saved. Antiphon
