Do not forget the works of the Lord! Never forget God's
deeds!
1. Listen, my people, mark each word. I begin with a story, I speak of
ancient mysteries, heard and known from our elders.

2. Some died, while others began to pray, repenting, reaching out, remembering
their rock: God, Most High, their redeemer.
Antiphon
3. False and deceitful, they lied to God, they lied to God. Ungrateful,
disloyal, they betrayed the covenant.
Antiphon
4. Yet God did not destroy them, held back his hand. In compassion restrained
his fury, forgave their sin.
