My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord, my God. My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord, my God.

1. O God, my God, for you my soul is thirsting, my body pines for you just like a desert land aching, without water and lifeless, weary.
2. So I gaze upon you in your holy temple, a glorious vision of your strength. My lips shall sing out your glory for better than life itself is your great love.
3. I will bless you, my God, with lifted hands I'll bless you. For all my life I'll worship you. My soul shall feast at a banquet so rich that my joyful lips praise you always.
4. You are my help, beneath your wings rejoicing, a constant hymn of praise to you. Yes, God, I cling to your great love; you love me, your right hand upholds me always.
