A river delights the city of God, home of the Holy One, God, Most High, God, Most High.

1. Our surest stand, our shelter and our help when in trouble.
    God is for us a refuge; for God stays by our side.
2. The earth can quake, volcanoes slide into the sea, raging;
     We have no fear, unshaken: Here God will always be.
3.  There is a stream: the city of the Most High is gladdened.
     The Lord is there to guard it, for God is our defense.
4. The Lord of hosts and cosmic pow'r, our shield, the God of Jacob
     Come, now, and see the Lord's own deeds, wonders wrought on earth.
