The Lord hears the cry of the poor, the Lord hears the cry of the poor.

1. I will never stop thanking God with constant words of praise, with constant words of praise. My soul will boast of God; the poor will hear my song, and be heartened, be glad.  Antiphon
2. It is God who confronts all evildoers, blotting out their deeds, destroying all their power. But when the troubled call out to God, God hears and heeds their plea, saving them from all distress.  Antiphon
3. It is God who stays near broken hearts, who heals the wounded soul, who dries the saddened tear. All those who put their trust in God shall never be condemned, God saves those who keep faith.  Antiphon
