Preface: This information is a part of my (Rich Mohrmann's) Grandfather's autobiography, presented in his own words. This account was left to the family by him, and recovered from his records after he passed away. Some information, indicated by "Note:" has been added by me, mostly about events that have occurred around or after my Grandfather passed away on March 22, 1964.
The addresses referred to by my Grandfather were all in Brooklyn or Queens Boroughs of New York City.

Note: My Uncle Fred lived on a farm in New Jersey, a long ways from Long Island in the 1950 and 1960's, so I didn't see him too often, but know his wife's name was Ann and they had one son.
2nd Karl Henry - Born at 208 Crescent St. on December 16, 1905 at 6 a.m., weighing 8-1/2 lbs. He was baptized March 11, 1906 by Pastor Brunn of the Hale Avenue Church.
Karl was appointed as a New York City Patrolman on February 20, 1928.
He was married to Miss Alice Heverin on November 17, 1929 in the parsonage of R. C. Church in Glendale, L. I.
Their first son was born at the Women's Hospital on November 21, 1938 about 8:30 p.m. weighing 7 lbs. 14 oz. He was baptized Donald Karl on December 18, 1938.
Their second son was born October 6, 1942 at 10:42 a.m. and weighed 8-1/2 lbs. He was baptized Robert Henry.
Through good behavior and plenty of study Karl advanced in the Police Department and on August 7, 1956 was promoted to Captain.
Note: Before I moved away from Long Island I know my uncle Karl had attained at least the rank of Inspector in the New York City Police Department.
Uncle Karl passed away on March 20, 1997.
3rd Albert Herman - Born at 1907 Gates Avenue, August 13, 1907 at 3 a.m., weighing 9-1/2 lbs. Baptized September 12, 1907 by Pastor Brunn.
Albert was married January 27, 1934 to Miss Elizabeth Anderson by Pastor Holland of Grace Lutheran Church of Forest Hills, LI.
Their first child, a girl, was born August 16, 1935 at 9:50 pm EDT. She weighed 7 lbs. She was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church at Forest Hills, LI. Elizabeth Williams. Born at Prospect Heights Hospital.
Their second child, a girl, was born December 27, 1938 at 4 pm in Boulevard Hospital weighing 5 lbs. 15 oz. She was baptized Barbara Elsie at Ascension Lutheran Church on February 5, 1939 by Pastor Preuss.
Their third child, a boy, was born October 24, 1940 at 1 am, and weighed 9 lbs. He was baptized Albert Herman at Ascension Lutheran Church in Glendale on November 17, 1940.
Their fourth child, a boy, was born November 24, 1943 at 4:45 am, weighing 6 1/2 lbs. he was baptized James Allen in Lutheran Church of Ascension, Glendale, LI.
Note: My Uncle Al and his wife moved to Port Richey, Florida after he retired from the wholesale meat business he and my dad owned and ran. Eventually all of his four children and their families moved there also, approximately in the 1980's time frame.
4th Elsie Hedwig Bertha - Born at 691 Harmon Street, Monday January 10, 1910 at 11:55 pm, weighing 7 1/2 lbs. She was baptized Tuesday May 5, 1910 by Pastor Meinecke.
Elsie was married September 25, 1932 at the Lutheran Church of the Ascension at 78 Street and 78 Ave, Glendale, LI to Mr. Harry Johnson of Middle Village by Pastor Preuss, Sr.
Their first child, a boy, was born January 2, 1935 at 2 am, and weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. He was baptized January 20, 1935 at Ascension Lutheran Church by Pastor Preuss Sr. and named Richard Albert.
Their second child, a girl, was born December 7, 1937 at 8:40 am, weighing 7 lbs 8 oz. She was baptized Carole Hedwig at Ascension Lutheran Church by Pastor Preuss, Jr. on January 30, 1938.
Their third child, a girl, was born June 11, 1939 at 3 pm, weighing 8 lbs. 4 oz, and was baptized Adele June on July 2, 1939 at Ascension Lutheran church by Pastor Preuss.
Their fourth child, a boy, was born November 1, 1946 at 11:40 pm, and weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. He was baptized Sunday December 1, 1946 Walter Harry at Trinity Lutheran Church in Middle Village.
Note: My Aunt Elsie passed away in mid November 1997. Her husband had died a few years earlier. Her oldest son, "Dickey", passed away suddenly near his 50th birthday.
5th Otto Adolf - (My - Rich Mohrmann's - Dad) Born at 260 Stephan Street on September 4, 1912 at 2:45 am, and weighed 8 lbs. Baptized Sunday October 20, 1912 by Pastor Snyder of St. Lukes Lutheran Church of Washington Ave.
He entered the service of the U.S. Army November 24, 1940, and was honorably discharged 5 years later on October 20, 1945. Note: This was the period of World War II, and my dad was in the Pacific arena almost the entire time.
He married Miss Violet Keller November 14, 1942 at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Glendale.
Their first child, a boy, (myself) was born September 7, 1946 at 2:01 pm, and weighed 7 lbs 12 oz. He was baptized Richard at Ascension Lutheran Church of Glendale, on October 13, 1946 by Pastor Preuss. Note: I was confirmed June 5, 1960 at St. James Lutheran Church in Steward Manor (neighboring Garden City).
Their second child, a boy, was born August 11, 1950 and weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. He was baptized Karl at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Bellerose, LI.
Note: My dad and mom moved to Marshalls Creek, Pennsylvania in March of 1981 after he retired and sold the business. He passed away on July 14, 1994, and his ashes are buried in the cemetery next to St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Marshalls Creek/Craigs Meadows.
6th Henry William - Born at 67-61 79th Street Middle Village on April 17, 1916 at 10 pm, weighing 7 lbs. He was baptized June 1, 1916 by Pastor Peters of Trinity Lutheran Church of Middle Village.
When he was three months old he had Polio. [Note: This resulted in him having a serious limp his entire life.]
He married Mildred Luthardt on Thanksgiving November 22, 1951.
Their first child, a boy, was born premature weighing 4 lbs 12 oz. He was baptized Henry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Middle Village on September 28, 1952. His birthday is August 2, 1952.
Note: My aunt also had three children from a previous marriage, whom were also always cousins to the family: Mary Ann, Maureen, and Debby. My Aunt Millie and Uncle Henry have both passed away and are buried in the cemetery next to St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Marshalls Creek/Craigs Meadows, near my dad.
