This was my first off road project vehicle from around 2000. It was a mud truck since mud runs were the only events I had found to participate in at that time. I had a lot of fun with it, but got tired of cleaning off mud in a hurry. I have found and moved on to other aspects of off roading. |

It's created from an 87 Dodge Dakota body. The front half of the frame section and drive line are from a 77 Chevrolet Suburban. It has a 350 V8 engine (stock other than headers), and an automatic transmission. It had 33 inch tires when built and is now sporting 38 inch "Ground Hawg" tires. The lift is a hodgepodge of 3 inch springs in the front, blocks and lowered spring mounts on the rear and a 1 inch body lift (for transmission to body clearance). The radiator is mounted in the box (wouldn't fit in engine bay) which seems to keep it clear of the mud. |
