Iron
bound canteens were wooden canteens with iron bands, constructed similar
to barrels, however with a volume of one-half to about one gallon.
The
cloth tent was almost certainly canvas, and was likely of the Marquee
style. The tent was probably for use by the supply train captain as
an office and place to conduct business while at the rendezvous.
