Kitchen & Tablewares of the travelers along the Santa Fe Trail in the early 1840's are described by Josiah Gregg.  "...the kitchen and table wares of the traders usually consist of a skillet, a frying-pan, a sheet-iron camp-kettle, a coffee-pot, and each man with his tin cup and a butcher's knife."
