Due to irreconcilable scheduling conflicts, the CanAm High Performance Distance Circuit will be on hiatus for the 2003 season.

However, eastern Canada and the northeastern U.S will still provide six excellent high performance opportunities during the traditional CanAm Circuit timespan of late June/early July.

These events include (links to meet information on upper left side of this page):

June 25
Ottawa Lions Twilite -- Terry Fox Athletic Facility, Ottawa, Ontario

June 28
Boston High Performance #5 -- Bentley College, Waltham, Mass

June 29
Aileen Meagher International Track Classic -- Metropolitan Field, Halifax, Nova Scotia

July 1
Boston High Performance #6 -- Bentley College, Waltham, Mass

July 5
New Balance Maine Distance Festival -- Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine

July 8
New Hampshire Twilite -- University of New Hampshire, Durham, New Hampshire

The organizers are working now to ensure the return of the CanAm High Performance Distance Circuit for the 2004 season.

The CanAm High Performance Distance Circuit was developed in 1998 to provide low-cost high-performance competition opportunities for North America's elite and emerging elite middle-distance and distance runners during the summer months following the national championship meets.

The meets are well-organized and provided optimal conditions to run fast distance times while keeping the costs down.

Over the past five years, the CanAm Circuit has become the summer destination of choice for North American distance runners.
