How is astrology helpful?

An old saying goes: there is one flow of energy in the universe...when you act with that flow, you have free will; when you act against it, you experience fate.  Astrology is the language of the flow of energy in the universe.  It illuminates possibilities and it comprehends purposes.

When we understand how we are a part of this flow of energy in the universe we can foresee and prepare ourselves for propitious and difficult times.  Our insight can mobilize us toward mastering issues at an inner level, and taking effective action in the outer world.

Living with an understanding and acceptance of the flow of energy around and through us can prevent days of beating our heads against the wall, or mistaking illusion for reality, or anticipating an easy victory when we are better off working to prevent defeat. It can show us what isn’t possible and what is.  It can motivate us to take effective action, and to cease acting. It can help us understand our enemies and make overtures to our friends.  It can point out the whys and the whens, although it cannot act for us. It does not usurp our responsibility to make our own choices.
