Lana Gail Adair was the only child of Delbert William Adair and Wilma Doris Dear. She was born on May 10, 1953 and died the next day on May 11, 1953. She passed away in Lordsburg, New Mexico at Hidalgo County Hospital of strangulation of mucous in the throat and was buried in Phoenix, Arizona. Lana is buried at Section 2, Block 6, Lot 1, Space 3, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren St. Phoenix, Arizona. We had a marker placed there in December, 1997.

Lana had many younger half brothers and sisters. Her dad married Janice Rae Holliday and had four boys: Delbert William, Daniel Edward, David Wallace, and Darrell Leslie. Her mom married Jack Schild and had seven children: Linda, Willard Lawrence, Jacque Elizabeth, Todd Henry, Shelly Ruth, Kenny, and Carter Randy.

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, of which I am a member, we believe the soul is made up of the body and the spirit. We believe the spirit will never die and will continue on forever. Furthermore, we believe family relations will exist and can be eternal through the sealing power of the priesthood. Jesus Christ told his apostles "whatsoever thou shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven." (Matthew 16:19) Because of the Savior I believe I'll have the chance to meet Lana someday.
