Aside from it looking like a great deal of fun, why should you join the Irish Guards? When answering this question, I have to look at my own experiences from when I joined six years ago.  Being with the Irish Guards is not just a hobby, it’s an experience. The Irish Guards are an historically minded group devoted to living history, in a broad sense, the British Army during WWII. In particular, the group represents the Irish Guards Regiment, one of the five regiments comprising the elite Brigade of Guards. Our members learn about a turbulent time in the world’s history from a British perspective, which can never be learned from a book, classroom, or museum. We actually LIVE history. You will learn what it is like to have been a member of the Irish Guards in WWII and you will learn about their distinguished and proud history. You will also learn the drill and ceremony that have made the Guards known the world over. More than this, you will be in the company of a close knit group of friends. So join the Irish Guards and keep the memory alive, lest we should forget the lessons learned.
