Belly Dancing Level I at The Fitness Factory, 784 Frenchtown Road, Milford, NJ 08848

The level one class will be moving from The Fitness Factory to Yoga Loka starting in May. For now we are offering individual class on the following dates

Thursday, April 10 - 6:45pm - 8:45pm - $15

This class start with warm ups, basic movement and then will focus on cymbals patterns and movement with cymbals.

Thursday, April 17 - 6:45pm - 8:45pm - $15

This class will start with warm ups, basic movements and then focus on slow and slinky moves.

This Session

Wednesdays, 7:30pm - 9:00pm, May 7 - June 18 (no class on June 4, Spring Caravan!!) $78 for the six week session. (Six hour and half classes!) Drop in Rate $15 per class

This six week session will introduce you to the beautiful of belly dance. You will learn individual moves and a short choreography, finger cymbals will be introduced as well. Cymbals will be available to borrow or purchase at class. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in. .

Next Session

Wednesdays, 7:30pm - 9:00pm, July 16 - August 20 ) $78 for the six week session. (Six hour and half classes!) Drop in Rate $15 per class

The six - week session will cover basic steps, arm positions, basic finger cymbal patterns. Each class will begin with stretching and toning, then move into mastering individual steps and finally putting all together in a short choreography.

Tuesdays - March 4 - April 22 -6:45 -8:45 $72.00 for the session (six - two hour classes) Drop in fee per class is $15

No Class on March 11 or March 18. I'll be in California for Rakkasah West

The six-week session will review basic steps, add level two steps, and specialized step combinations, and advanced finger cymbal patterns. Each class will begin with stretching and toning, reviews then addition of new and exciting steps.

Level III and Beyond

Friday's 7pm - 8pm. - This class is currently closed for performance practice.

Workshops

Mahira Tribe presents Michelle Devine for two workshops and a hafla on May 3rd, 2008!

The workshops: Intro/Sword Basics from 1:00-3:00: History of the sword dance, how to balance, standing moves, walking moves, and combinations! and Double Veil from 3:30-5:30 PM. Standing, walking and spinning using 2 veils at once!

Hafla to follow featuring Michelle De Vine, Mahalat, Mahira Tribe, Tempest, Ak-Ana and more! (Only $5, free with workshop purchase! Children 6 and under free!)

Cost: $30 each, $55 for both by April 17th. After April 17th or at door: $35 dollars each, $65 for both. Free admission to the hafla with purchase of a workshop!)

Rakkasah's Spring Caravan 2008 - Belly Dance Fusion Festival

Classes start Wednesday June 4 - June 8. Festival dates are Friday June 6 - 7 pm -11pm, $12, Saturday June 7 - 12noon -10pm $15 and Sunday June 8 - noon - 8 pm.$15

Teachers include Suhaila of Bal Anant, Kaesha Chai of Belly Queen and Pure, Asharah, Jamilla al Wahid, Rashid, Sera, Pete List and Raquy.

Workshop run from October 13 - October 19.

Festivals dates are October 17 - 7pm - 10pm, October 18 - 11am - 11pm, October 19 - 11am - 8pm.

Classes start on March 9 and run through March 15.

Festival dates are Friday March 13 7pm - 11pm $12, Saturday March 14 11am - 11pm $15 and Sunday March 15 11am-8pm.
