PROJECT RECOMMENDATIONS

Items in my portfolio can be reproduced as shown or customized in many ways. Endless opportunities for new Creations arise with changes of color, types of fibers and fiber blends, spinning methods and weave structures. Designing is the most exciting part of the process, so feel free to make special requests for your favorite fiber, yarn, pattern or colors. I will work up a design based on your preferences and concepts.

I have commercial sources for all kinds of natural fiber yarns. I prefer to work with natural yarns over synthetics. I have commercial sources for garment-quality sport and worsted weight alpaca yarns. All weights of yarn can be handspun. I have sources for roving in several natural colors for garments, outerwear and rugs.

The cost of materials supplied by me will be included in the final cost of the project as will shipping charges and sales tax, if applicable. When ordering materials, I will bill you only for the amount used. Exact prices depend on the source. Allow $36-80 per pound for commercially spun alpaca or mohair yarns. Wools, cottons and linens run considerably less. Silks and silk blends can be as high as $120 per pound.

Prices vary due to the one-of-a-kind nature of my products. For a project estimate, please call me to discuss the details of your order. My portfolio reflects the kinds of products I currently offer and is subject to change. I will be adding new products as time goes on. I am always interested in unique projects, and therefore, am open to suggestions. All items will be priced upon request.

Scarves range from $50 to $150. Sweaters start at $250. Ponchos, ruanas and shawls start at $300. Vests start at $175.

I will itemize the total cost of a project when an order is placed. I require a deposit of 50% plus materials prior to starting a project. The balance is due upon receipt of the finished piece. A 10% discount will be given on orders of more than 1 item. Personal checks or money orders are acceptable. I do not accept credit cards at this time.

My schedule is largely dependent on outstanding orders at the time an order is placed. I am a perfectionist, so I appreciate your patience. Please make me aware of any deadlines you may have, such as holidays or birthdays. I will always give the most realistic time estimate possible. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
