Since we want to ensure the quality of our collection so it will be a valuable tool for Green research.  All resources used must be completely documented, so others will be able to find the original source of the information.
There are many different "proper" methods of writing the citation and bibliography.  The style you use is not as critical as the content.  We can adjust to one standard type as we progress.  The important thing to remember is that you must include everything that would be necessary for someone else to find the original material for future use.  It is like a street address for your home.  My own rule is that if I am in doubt about whether something should be included - I include it.  I doubt that anyone will complain about our source citation being tooooo complete.   For our purposes, the repository of the resource should also be included.  Whether you obtained the book or microfilm from a particular library, or the family Bible, it may be very helpful to others to know at least one location where the resource is held (repository):
Author - full name(s)
Title
Name of Editor, Compiler, etc.
Edition
Volume (and their title if applicable)
Publication Facts:  City, Publisher & Date.
Page numbers
Microfilm, microfiche, etc. treat similar to books include the type (microfilm, microfiche, etc.); Micro and roll #, sponsoring organization.

Save the information in .txt (text) format, so it will be easily viewed by others.
