This is the view from the carpeted area of our room. At the far end is the writing center. The student desks are arranged in tables.

Our next photo is a close up of our reading area. There are two bins on the bottom shelf, one which holds favorite books we've read as a class, and another which holds class and student published books. The math manipulative shelf can be seen in this photo, and it contains items such as counters, pattern blocks, unifix and mult-link cubes, geoboards, tangrams, as well as many more math related materials.

We hope you've enjoyed your peek into the hive! Of course, it looks a bit different when it is buzzing with our first grade busy bees!
