Colonoscopy Preparation (Alternate)

Please have someone drive you as you will be sedated and will be unable to drive.

Morning Before Exam:

Purchase 2 Bottles (3 oz each) of Fleet Phospho Soda..

Clear Liquid Diet all day.

(Clear Liquids are liquids you can see through, no chunks, Jello (not red) is allowed.)

4 pm, 8 pm, and 6am (day of procedure):

Mix 1.5 oz (1/2 bottle) of Fleetphospho Soda with 4 oz water and drink.

Follow this with 4 glasses of water. Repeat at 8 pm and 6 am next day.

After Midnight:

Nothing by Mouth

Medication is allowed with small sip of water up until 3 hours before procedure.

If you are Diabetic - Please ask your Doctor about special instructions.

Stop the following Medications:

Coumadin - 5 days

Aspirin, Plavix, Ticlid - 3-5 days

Iron - 3 days
