The Jernigan reunion in Dunn, NC is scheduled for May 5, 2002. Bring a covered dish and prepare to enjoy good food and conversation with the Jernigan clan! All Jernigans are welcome to attend, no matter who you descend from! I can vouch for the friendliness and fun of this gathering. Don't miss it! The reunion in Dunn, which is held at the Stoney Run Church, will be held at 12:30pm on Sunday. Stoney Run Church is on Hwy. 55E, 3 miles East of Dunn, NC. This is a good opportunity for those of you who want to talk to Kay Stone as she goes every year.

Jernigan Links
In the spirit of the season,
Sharon Tingley would like to promote the following two web sites:
Campbell's Soup, Help the Hungry
This is a great way to get into the holiday spirit and help out some hungry
people. Campbells is donating a can of soup to area food banks just by clicking on a football helmet at their website. So let's see which team gets
the most support and help feed those who are less fortunate than we are. It's quick, easy, and can be done once a day.
Click on the link to directly connect to their website. Then click on your favorite team's helmet and Campbell will donate a can of soup. That is it!
Please pass this to a friend, or 2, or 3, or 4!

The Breast Cancer Site
This site donates free mammograms to underprivileged women. It takes less
than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" (pink window in the middle), and it costs you nothing! Their corporate sponsors
donate mammograms based upon the number of daily visits to the site. Here's the website URL. Please pass it along to all of your friends and visit it
daily.

Thanks for all of your time and help!

Editor's Note
This homepage should be subtitled "The Sharon Tingley Edition", because quite frankly, if it weren't for Sharon, there wouldn't be a homepage this month. She sent me everything on here except for a couple of items. Thank you so much Sharon for your efforts as well as for saving my skin on this homepage!
Tigger, our sick cat, is in serious condition, but still is holding his own. He still refuses solid foods, but we have been able to get him to take baby formula. He is extremely dehydrated and that is the main problem we are facing now. We are hoping once we get him re-hydrated, that he will begin eating again and will get better. Only time will tell.
I'm still getting emails from Aol users telling me that they are not getting the monthly reminders that I send out. In case you missed it, there was a very late edition of the November Jernigan homepage. It can now be found at http://home.att.net/~mboots/Jernigan_Homepage/LXII.htm You can find a list of all previous homepages as well as other Jernigan sites of interest at this URL: http://home.att.net/~mboots/Jernigan_Homepage/directory.htm And if you do not get the monthly updates, you can always find the current Jernigan homepage at this address: http://home.att.net/~mboots/Jernigan_Homepage/text.htm I will always endeavor to have it up on the web by the 1st of the month.
We are getting very busy around here as we are expecting a lot of family members to join us for Christmas. If everyone shows up, we'll have 13 people (including us) staying at our house and up to 21 for Christmas dinner! Should prove to be very fun! I'm asking Santa for a dishwasher this year as there will be a considerable amount of dishes with all the extra people. Ed tells me that simply means that there will be that many extra "dishwashers" to help out. We'll see. Perhaps I should give him dish duty over the holidays!
'Tis the season of giving and receiving! I hope that you are having a wonderful time finding those special items for everyone on your list, decorating for the season and planning get-togethers with friends and family. If dear "Aunt Jane" or "Uncle Harold" comes to visit and they have all kinds of wonderful Jernigan history, make sure you find out everything they know and pass it on! I'd love to put it on the homepage.
I hope that you and yours will have a blessed holiday season. Remember the greatest gift of all was the tiny baby born in a stable so long ago. With the gift of his son Jesus, God gives everlasting life to us all. Be kind and loving during this hectic time of year. Don't get so caught up in all the rush that you forget the real reason for the season. God bless you all and Merry Christmas! See y'all next year!
Until then, ...Happy hunting!

Marla Boots
