The first celebrity caricature doll in the series, Liza Minnelli was created In 1981. Liza became the focal point for the development that followed and over the next year and a half, ten more dolls were added to this collection. The
dolls, one-of-a-kind, are formulated of cast rubber composition. Each
specifically designed and created to achieve a life-like persona. They stand from
twenty-four to twenty-seven inches tall. The eyes have a pronounced paper-weight
effect and the make-up is applied in oils over a simulated skin texture. The
dolls, collector editions, are costumed hand finished and signed by the artist. Today, the Lena Horne doll, (which she owns) is the only doll to survive this original collection.
