Come on in, lets read poetry!

Deep Dark Hole
Thank you for coming, Mom!
Thank you for being my mom!
Thank you for your unconditional love!
Words spoken from a deep, dark hole,
a hole so dark and so deep that
climbing out is beyond his reach.
A hole where only he exists to my eyes,
but where only he knows who or what
exists within him.
A hole so cold and bare,
lined with cement and steel.
A hole where the feel of fresh
linen is never felt next to his skin.
A hole where love is nonexistent,
except for the memories he
manages to pick from his mind,
bit by small bit, never complete
memories -- just bits of his past.
Thank you for wanting me!
Thank you for being my son!
Thank you for your unconditional love!

Darkness of Night
In the darkness of night
as the world around me sleeps
In the darkness of night
I awake and wander
In the darkness of night
I search and ponder
In the darkness of night
I plan my plight
In the darkness of night
I find no escape
In the darkness of night
the deep dark hole remains
In the darkness of night
a place, where not to wander!

THE MIDNIGHT HOUR
The midnight hour
when most of the world
has closed its door
The midnight hour
where in my world
my mind is opening doors
The midnight hour
where in the peace of
the stillness of the night
my mind is free to wander
The midnight hour
when my mind goes
into that deep dark hole
that is beyond my normal reach
The midnight hour
when I search for hours
and minutes and days
to find a reason or purpose
The midnight hour
when I discover
that to the deep dark hole
there is no answer
The midnight hour...
The midnight hour....
where there is only prayer in
The midnight hour

Girlie
Two brown circles
nestled below brows
perfectly shaped brows
with a sweet little pug in between.
Ten little fingers
at the end of pefectly
shaped hands and
ten chubby toes
on each perfect little foot
Dark brown hair
laying in soft curls
on a soft pink scalp
Wrapped in a blanket she
snuggles next to my breasts
A bond is formed,
A everlasting bond

SLEEP
darkness closes around her
cool mist fills the air
with the coolness of night
she feels the clutches
the demons she has fought
since she was but a child
cold,hard,clutching demons
digging at her soul
she tosses and turns
rants and raves
screams and cries out
it is only herself
with dawn she awakens
in awe she wonders
where she has been
where she is yet to go

SNOW CREME
as it touches your tongue
it touches your heart
the softness melts to sweetness
ecstasy beyond words
the expectations of a 10 y.o.
are met with joy..............
the joy of snow cream
from the fresh beauty of nature
