Botswana Woman                10" x 7"                            200.00

While our train waited for us at Victoria Falls we were permitted to cross the border to Botswana where we spent a little time in a village there.
Our main pursuit there, however, was to take a cruise on the Chobe River to view hippos, crocodiles, elephants, cape buffalo, and zillions of varieties of birds.   We also toured the Chobe National Park where we saw more elephants as well as giraffes, kudu, impala, lions and another passel of birds.
The most exciting event was an angry bull elephant who was not going to allow us to continue on the road.  We finally drove into the bush and around the beast but we found out later that the poor elephant dropped dead on the road.  He must have been ill and that caused his unorthodox behavior.
