Me and Marcofrau Well, for starters she's a heck of a hophead, but she's also my wife. She didn't really know a heck a lot about beer until we met a few years ago, but now she's a certified beer snob. (We're pictured to the left at the Goose Island Brewpub in Lincoln Park.) She's become quite an expert on beer. In fact, I respect her tasting ability quite a bit. I've never known someone with tastebuds and a nose for beer like her. Although she has her own website, Into The Grid, Carol has contributed a lot to the Marcobrau Beer Pages. Some people may not take notice, but without Marcofrau, the Marcobrau Beer Pages probably might not exist!

Her contributions include:

An excellent account of the Real Ale Festival 2000 held in Chicago. An account of a trip to Wisconsin that proves that the dairy state might be a misnomer, and her guide to especially hoppy ales. Reviews of Big Foot Barleywine  and Hennepin Ale and a review of the Ram Restaurant & Big Horn Brewery in Schaumburg.
