(R)in the opening scene, you know after the credits and stuff, we see anna playing pool with this other guy. and then aj comes up asking the other guy if they're playing for money. and the other guy goes only for a dollar. aj says, "that's how it starts. first it'll be a dollar and you'll be able to win your money back." and anna's clearly annoyed with aj(she has a right to!!!). Then aj goes on, "then it's 5 dollars and next thing you know you'll be paying off her credit card." then anna's like he's just kidding and we can clearly see she's annoyed with aj. then aj starts going off about how she's from minnesota and that's where all those pool sharks are from. and anna says in a minnesota accent(think fargo) how the pool shark taught her all his tricks. so, the other guy decides to leave and anna's annoyed that he left. aj just plays it off and starts to play pool. anna asks aj if "he's going to make a regular habit of this?" and aj's like, "what?" she says "scaring off anyone who wants to hang out w/ me. it's not the first time you pulled this." and aj goes, "com'mon, he's not your type." and aj's acting like it's no big deal but of course anna doesn't think it's funny at all. then she says "this isn't funny, i'm not something you own. you can't act like some dog guarding your territory." and aj asks, "oh...is that what you think i'm doing?" and anna says "ask yourselft that. get back to me when you have the answer." then she leaves and aj's like, "okay, aren't we testy today?" (R)okay...clearly aj was chasing that other guy away and anna had every right to be pissed off at him. he's being so stupid!! i love him...but aj's being stupid! he's clearly screwing up with anna!! and what pisses me off even more is that, that's where they leave things with aj and anna. you'd think that they would talk about that whole situation more but they didn't. no mention of it at all!!!! NONE, NADA, ZIP!!! (R)now on to bobby scenes. bobby and janine(sorry, hurl girl!!) are in his car. it seems that bobby has been helping janine look for a place of her own. and then they're in the car all talking about how they were once thinking of moving in together. and how it would be nice waking up in each other's arms and spending all day sunday in bed together, yada, yada, yada....and i'm like thank goodness they didn't. anyways, and then janine's like yea...we'll be in bed together unitl your beeper goes off and you're off to another secret mission and then bobby's like yea, and then i come back and you're pouting acting mad and stuff. janine's stupid. i'm sorry..i don't want to be mean...but hello, she's got to accept that. anyways, then they realize that's why they broke up. thank goodness. i was beginning to worry they were getting back together or something. so, they look at this place and it seems really cool. espcially the view and the deck cause right when you walk out on the deck the beach is right there and of course bobby's all for it cause he can just leave his board there and it's right there on the beach. but it turns out that it costs a little bit more than janine can afford. but bobby convinces her to put the down payment on it anyways and to help her find a roommate. (R)while on the mission, anna and aj are up in the heli looking for the weapon that they're trying to get. and anna starts saying how it all reminded her of when she was young going on a trip with her family and then aj cuts her off saying that they should leave all the family stories for later and should concentrate on the work. and i'm like okay. what's his problem?!!? i dont' get that at all cause it's not like they haven't talked about their families on a mission before. something is clearly up with aj. and anna's like you're right and that we should concentrate on the mission. but aj apologizes for saying that but anna does agree with him. then a little later, they are chasing this other helicopter cause aj spots a woman who's clearly unconscious and so they go after the heli. but then the other heli fires this weapon on them and we see aj getting really sick and starts to faint and stuff. and anna's like aj are you okay?! but aj doesn't and can't answer her cause he's sick and looks like he's passed out. but what i don't understand is when anna is trying to land you can see aj moving his hand over his head, so i don't know if he's fully passed out then. but then anna is getting sick and nauseated and stuff and radios bobby and tells him that she needs to land. then the next thing you see is the huey on the ground okay and anna and aj passed out. just as aj is getting up, so is anna and she asks him if he's okay and he's like yea and good landing and stuff. they don't help each other out or anything cause he's in the back and she's in the front. and that's all. aj and anna recover. (F)1. Who the hell is the co-pilot on the chopper? And why isn't he/she given any air time. (L)I thought he actually got a line. Of course when Bobby says "we almost lost *two* lives..." I thought a) Did the co-pilot die? b) Bobby can't count. (Stop laughing, SalGals. You're honey was a dofus in this episode too.) (F)Hey I don't think AJ know there is a second seat in a chopper. He is probably like the red shirted guys in Star Trek. " The Expendable Guy" (R)and so they do the mission and of course complete it and stuff. another thing that caught my attention on this epi was that there was another daddy issue. cause the little boy who has found the weapon has lost his daddy but he just can't accept that fact and still thinks he's coming back. but his uncle tells him that he's not coming back and things. so, i guess the little boy is still struggling with that. and bobby looks concerned about the kid. at the end of the mission bobby was really sweet and he gives him his hat for a souviner which was really sweet of bobby. a big applause for bobby!!!! (F)2.Did anyone else feelthat Bobby was going to take the kid home with him or will he go back to the widow's doorstep after he has defintely broken up with the immature brat? (L)F, don't tease me. I considered that for a moment too. Mom was a real woman. Mature, hard working, brave trying to raise her kid as a single parent, blah, blah, blah. Of course the kid annoyed me. He seemed to be pretty old to still be playing make believe. Especially by himself. (F)3.What happened to the guys in the black chopper and what were they really shooting at the people? (L)Well one of them died. The other? Who knows? I wanna know who they were myself. Who was funding them? And they were shooting that sound thing at people. "Sound thing" *snort* Saw it five minutes ago and already I'm forgetting stuff. (F) They did answer that....the weapons company hired muscle (F)4.Shouldn't they have climbed up and searched the tree house before the kid left? Ok so they episode would have ended there but.... (L)My thoughts exactly. If there is one thing kids are it's liars. Much like their adult counterparts. Bobby and Wendell made like they remembered being the kid's age but they sure didn't act like it, huh? (F)HAve they really fully even grown up yet enough to realize this fact???? (F)5.Does anybody think saving ones life deserves more than a stinking hat? (L)Okay... here are my problems with that. 1) Where was Annalisa? Wasn't she just with Bobby a minute ago? And if you say that Bobby outran her then how come he wasn't winded when he took that guy down? 2) Why wasn't she carrying ANY weapon at any time? Not even a side arm! How was she gonna back up her team mates if she couldn't even shoot someone? (L)Also... Maybe I just wasn't paying attention but where did Bobby and Annalisa get the station wagon from? And why did they split up with Wendell and AJ? (L)Again with the splitting up. It's REALLY starting to get annoying. (F)You know I feel there was some really bad editing for the time slot in this episode and a few key things were left on the cutting room floor. Some of the time frame was screwed up too. (L)And I think he didn't deserve the hat. After all he did lie to them earlier. Bad, bad, bad kitty! (F)6.Did AJ say car coming and everyone stood there? I thought this was a top secret in and out mission. (F)1.From the special ed teacher point of view....Is anyone getting that kid some help??? (F)2. Funny how the sheriffs in these show know EVERYTHING that goes on in their county and our real life ones can't find the crime scene. (L)That's cause on Pensacola... they fire fake bullets. In real life... well... Also this is supposed to be Arkansas. The sheriff is probably nosy cause almost nothing ever happens in Arkansas. (F)Oh how true....Just sex with the Prez.... (F)3. It is nice to see the Prima Donna (Janine) gets a glimpse of reallife when you first start out on your own. I would have loved to see her make it in my first rattrap of an apt. (L)I had three roommates in my first rattrap apartment and a lovely ant problem. Plus it was furnished in early/late cheap bfugly. Add this to the fact that I was going to school full time and working 20 hours a week. Now THAT is real life! The Janine character we have now could never take that. (L)And what's up with installing deadbolts? Hello? There are French doors with LOVELY breakable glass. If he really wanted Janine to be safe he would have had someone out there installing an alarm system. (F)It must be a fatherly thing.... (L)Now I'm sure Annalisa would have no problem blowing away an intruder... but what about Janine? Think she can hit what she aims for? (F)Hell no...she probably would shot gang style and shoot Anni in the recoil from the gun then complain because she broke a nail. (F)4.Ok...I have to give Prima credit for admitting she wasn't acting like she was pouting, she really was. Just show you how immature she is to get into a relationship and not accept the ramifications of dating a pilot or serviceman, cop, fireman etc (L)She better stay away from any guy who might just have to work non-regular hours. May I suggest a boyfriend who works at McDonald's and isn't bucking for a promotion to Asst. Manager. I guess she just expects to be the center of the universe. God help her when her eyes are finally opened to the realities of life. (F)5. Dog guarding his terittory?????? (L)Yeah, that was awkward wasn't it? Actually a couple of bits were awkwardly written/done. That heartfelt talk between Kelly and Matthews. At one point I thought that they made Wendell sound too formal. And someone said "then" twice in the same sentence. I can't remember who. If it wasn't a blooper they should have redone that scene. (K)I personally am wondering what Aj was saying while Bobby was talking to the kid and his mom. (L)1) Who in the hell was in charge of continuity in this episode? Fire the bastard! Example A When the Huey goes down, it's day. When Bobby talks to Kelly (and does bad math) it is night. Example B Out in front of Casey's house before they find his mom it is night. Then out in front of his uncle's house it's daytime again. (L)I know I kvetched about the lack of nighttime scenes but I don't want them when they don't make sense! (L)2) I'm gonna take a bat to the heads of next season's writers if they put Bobby and Janine back together. And if they do actually give him a woman of merit, wit, intelligence, and maturity... then I KNOW that this friendship thing with Janine is gonna end. I personally don't believe in that "we used to date (read 'sleep together') but now we're just friends" crap. His next woman should put a nix on on any trip to Tail Winds or any going down his buddy Annalisa's place. Uh uh. No way. No how. (A)1) Way too much time is spent on non-team stuff and people. (A)2) AJ has a major case of the snotties in this ep. He was decent in the last ep, but he's back to being a rat bastard assbite. In fact, he was a butt-nugget. (A)3) I don't buy Anni wanting to spend time with "John," the guy who was so mean to Bobby in "Game, Set and Match." I know she didn't see the interaction between him and Bobby, but the guy is an assbite. (A)4) AJ to Anni: "Wanna play a little game." Lawdy, AJ...that's *all* you two do. (A)5) When did the Air Force start wearing BTU's? And what's with the electric blue lettering? I know it's been 20 years since my father was in the Air Force, but the only non-blue uniform he had was fatigues, which were solid in color and looked a lot like a flight suit but were two pieces. He never wore anything in cammie-style. And, the lettering on his fatigues was a dark blue. Also, he *never* wore his sunglasses indoors, and certainly not while working. (F)OK they did say he was with the weekend reserves and a car salesman in the day time world....He is a PR guy right? (A)6) Kristanna must be at least 6 feet tall. (A)7) When they are talking with the sheriff for the first time, and he is asking Bobby what the situation is going to be like, Bobby's ear piece magically disappears. It wouldn't have been so noticeable, but the sunshine behind him made his ears all pink (K, don't go there...hehehe.) After Bobby says "Fair enough," it's back. (A)8) What's with the little look Bobby gave in AJ's direction when he told AJ to go up in the bird with Lindstrom -- you think it was because of AJ's question to him in the last ep? OhmyGod..that would mean...continuity! But, what was with Anni's exasperated look? They are *working*...this is what happens when they are working...AJ goes up in the Huey with Anni...duh! (A)9) What is the deal with the "invisible" co-pilot? He is there, but he never speaks, the team ignores him, he never leaves the Huey, yet, when Anni and AJ get "sick," Bobby says "It nearly cost us *2* lives." Where did the co-pilot go? (This was mentioned by F and L, but it's just soooo pathetic, it bears mentioning again.) Just dump the co-pilot concept if it isn't required in a Huey. If it is, let the person have a line once in a while. (C)Another comment I want to say is about the cans the kid was melting.....when he lined them up they were all intact....then he shoots one and it melts.....then Bobby and Wendell show up and he runs into his fort. My qeustion is how did the other cans get melted if the kid only shot one! When Wendell is looking at them, they are all melted. The Kid Only Shot ONE!!! Did the rest magicaly melt beside the other can because they didn't want to look different? (U)1) I really liked the way that Bobby handled the little boy at the end. He was sooo sweet. (Don't drool to hard Linda...) Couldn't you just see him as the perfect husband! (U)2) I do agree that the child is too old to be playing make believe. I mean really! (P)he looked to be about 8 to me - still young enough to play space invaders (especially if S:AAB is his favorite show). Also, his Dad just died so make believe is probably a lot more pleasant right now (U)3) I do agree with the Wendell fans that he needs some serious lines. Maybe with the next writers girls! (U)4) Maybe Janine and Lindstrom will help each other out. After all, if you put the two women (using the term lightly) together you wouldn't have a person half bad. (U)5) What's the deal with Hodges? I think I remember someone saying that a member of the cast will not be returning or something like that. Do we think maybe it will be Hodges? (U)6) As far as the copilot...I wonder if maybe he was the real pilot and we weren't supposed to see him. That would explain why he was never mentioned in the numbers, etc. (P)faint possibility: he had to stay with the huey so the bad guys didn't steal it more likely: they were being sloppy some other examples that come to mind - the rain on/rain off/rain on again scene in soldiers of misfortune and during the parachute jump when you see all 3 of them land, then you see them in the air, then you see them landing again (U)7) Finally, what ever happened to the huey? You never saw anyone fly it out once they got in the car. (A)10) In the scene where the 4 of them are outside and the sheriff comes up, why didn't they go in and check out the house before the sheriff got there? Were they waiting for him? The door appeared to be open, and she was right there. Weird. (A)11) Now, we have AJ saying the ep titles out loud. (A)12) When Bobby and Anni were going after the kid, Bobby knocked out the 1st bad guy and the kid took out the second, where was Anni? AJ and Wendell show up, but still no Anni. (L mentioned this and questioned Anni's lack of a firearm, but I think Anni had a pistol. I wanna know why she didn't have a com unit. And, she had a cammie hat with her flightsuit -- never seen that before. Flightsuit = you-want-fries-with-that hat.) (A)13) When Anni and Hurl Girl open the patio door, Anni doesn't look concerned about AJ not being there. There wasn't enough time for that scene to unfold. Anni looked fine, not at all the way the synopsis described it. (A)14) Finally! Wendell gets his little speech after the show. And doesn't he look fine! (A)About ten minutes into this ep, I actually found myself wondering why I watch this show. I can't say I liked this ep much. Hmm. (R)okay...they are back at the base and kelly hands bobby some flyers that janine had made out for a roommate cause bobby said he'd help her out. and then anna takes a look at the flyers. then kelly's like hurry up and let's start the briefing so you guys can get back to your comfortable boq and then anna takes one of the flyers. so, 3 days later she's moving in with janine. and anna starts saying there's some things she'll miss at the boq but it was getting crowded. and janine says something like does that have anything to do aj and anna's like next subject!!! and then they're like it's kind strange of us moving together, huh?!!? (well, they aren't the only ones who voiced that quesiton). and then they're like okay, let's go out to the beach or something like that and they open the door and we see bobby and wendell out there sitting. bobby with a beer and i think wendell has water. and bobby's like we were wondering when you guys would come out. we're throwing you a house party and puts his beer up in the air. and it looks like anna kinda looks around and i'm thinking she might've been looking for aj. and then janine is like why do i get a feeling that this(meaning bobby and the guys will always be over to have a party) won't be the last party they throw and then anna's like cause you're smart. sure....i'll believe that!! first she needs to grow up. (R)so, that's the epi!!! and now we know why janine and anna are living together. i don't know why aj wasn't there with bobby and wendell at the end. probably because he's messed up about his feelings for anna. but they don't even mention it or anything. that's why i was clearly pissed off with this epi. they leave us hanging with the whole anna/aj thing and once again, aj is being a "rat bastard!!" that's why i'm hoping they at least have that situation brought up again in the next epi.
