(T) I'm referring to the fact that AJ saves a beautiful woman from a purse snatcher in the beginning of the show. Ol' AJ thumps him up right nice too. Then he gives the purse back to the beautiful woman,changes her flat tire, and accepts a date with her. Yes, I wrote date. (T quickly slides pillows under K and J to cushion the fall.) (K) ok...Translation there...He hopes this girl is awesome and is really infatuated with her, but he'll keep anni on the side just incase it doesn't work out and prays to God she never finds out!! (T)Sooooo, then he is telling Wendell all about it the next day when guess who comes strolling by??? Yep, Miss Annalisa, wanting to know what they're chatting about.(They call her Annalisa all thru the show, they can hear us I tell ya!!) AJ looks sheepish, as he should, the slut, and Wendell looks caught-in-the-middle. (K)can you NOT just see the helpless look on poor wendell's face!! like "I didn't do it!, I may be standing here egging him on and listening to this..but I DID NOT DO IT!!" (T)AJ and Wendell later go to the bank to draw out AJ's last $60 since his check has been sent to Guatamala (part of the setup dontchaknow!) Once there they find out that large sums of money are being deposited to AJ's account without his knowledge (curiouser and curiouser). Though offered over $5,000 dollars, our good little boy only takes his "ssssixty dollars." Momma Conaway would be so proud. (T wipes a tear) (T)Skip to Bobby, who is, without his knowledge, being considered to be a flight instructor in Yuma. Bobby comes and goes in this, not really mixing at all with the team until they start helping AJ get out of his mess. Then he's all confused cause he doesn't know what's going on with them. And he feels left out and forsaken. Awww, he's so cute in this one. AND guess who's not in this one at all????? (Gleeful cackle) (T)Back to AJ. Some hard nosed legal woman comes to the base wanting Conaway's records. Kelly is concerned. He talks to Conaway and Bobby both in this one. I think he's been watching McQueen on S:AAB and taking lessons. Maybe Brolin's smarter than we think. :) Anyways, he's good in this one. He's there for AJ. (K)I'd hope he'd be concerned..in less than a 6 week period..almost all of his team has manged to get into MAJOR hot water! First anni almost get's court martialed for murder, then Bobby almost get's blown sky high..Now AJ for spying!?? Damn..wendell is like the saint of the group..unless they are going to get him on sexual harassment charges...OH BOY! (T)Turns out that Miss Rita Garcia was just using the warm, fuzzy one for her own ill gotten gain and the support of Castro forces in Cuba. AJ has to come clean and tell Anni about Rita sos that Anni and Wendell can go to the Secret Dragon Cave and play detective. They do. AJ is cleared. There are explosions, both from Anni and from explosives. Car wrecks. Flight scenes. (K)BUT AJ does seem to get his just dessert when the women that he thinks is ALL that and a piece of Cheese..turns on him when he needs her, but Anni pulls him out..HOW DARE he do this to her!!!?? God they aren't even dating to our knowledge yet..but he's stringing her along? DAMN he works fast...!! (J)tee hee..thats our man...too much fun. I love him, I cant wait to see this...he's to scared to date HER, you know it. She's too modern for him and he's afraid she's gonna change him into something weird. C'mere AJ, trad woman RIGHT OVER HERE...dump that luscious, gorgeous, fox of a Helo Pilot and CMERE. (yeh in my dreams.) I would have knocked him flat on his A$$! (M)I enjoyed last night's episode very much. And I think I agree with Wendell -- they're *both* at fault! AJ should'a told her from the first and Anni should have either kept her mouth shut or been willing to go forward. At the end, where he's talking about "maintaining their positions" -- she's saying that "they're just friends" so she has *no* cause for complaint if he goes out on a date. Now, since *he's* the one claiming more emphatically that they are "more than just friends," he should get a clue that if he doesn't let her know he's going out, he's going to be in trouble. Aaahhhh. Good show. :-) (K)HIm telling her...OK..now the ONLY reason we all know it..that he told her was b/c he's butt was majorly on the line and he needed her help! That REALLY bugs me! Now Wendell ..ever the diplomate...Tried to save Both of them with the comment about her asking him out..Save AJ from ANni kiling him..and try to lesson the blow to anni. He KNOW"s they have these feelings from each other..and I think that he know's b/c he and Bobby have been razing them about it..that they are backing off a bit...I just didnt like that she backed down to soon..when he called her on her comment. She was hurt..bad..and she was justified in what she said! AJ was just being plain DELUSIONAL if he thought Annalisa would just sit there with a smile on her face and take the news like a good little girl! (L)Either play it all one way or the other AJ!!! But after this..Annalisa's trust in AJ is down a few levels..and he's going to have to spend a while working that back up. I would have had her head examened if she had just jumped right back on it..and said ok let's be more than just friends. As friends..she's leaving it open for them to do stuff together..like bowling or going to movies or the beach..stuff for them to get to know each other better...she's leaving him a SMALL door to make it more...but in the same..she's also protecting herself..if this doesn't take off..then she's not better or worse for having tried. (A)Oh boy...I'm a little afraid to say this...but I think I see AJ's point. I finally got to see "Game, Set, Match" after preemptions and crap, and I liked it better than I thought I would. I ranted on and on after J gave us her thoughts on the ep, but now that I've seen it...I just want to shake some sense into Anni. In the final scene, he is giving her all kinds of opportunities to let him in a little, and she just puts up another wall. I understand she was hurt -- even though she clearly states that they aren't dating, it still stings to know that he has outside interests. But what hope is she giving him? Does Anni really expect a funny, charming, good looking man like AJ to not date? Ain't gonna happen. (L)Of course not. But if he does she shouldn't have to expect him to start hemming and hawing... trying to get some nuzzle out of her when the other chick doesn't work out. (L)And like I said, I don't think its so much the outside interests as the fact that he comes back to her when it doesn't work out. I think she feels offended that he sees her as the consolation prize. Who needs that? (A)Anni, grab that man and your bowling ball and let nature take its course. ;-) (J)My whole point is that it was ANNI FIRST (not necessarily in THIS ep but in others) who started pushing the studly AJ back. She cannot expect THAT to not go out with someone. She should in fact back up and think a minute, she pushed him away, he went out with all of ONE Woman, and ONLY ONCE at that, and he's feeling so guilty like he betrayed a woman who kept saying she DID NOT WANT HIM. sounds to me like he's majorly in Love with you ANNI, here's a buck, buy a clue woman. (L)But he doesn't tell her this! He needs to open up those lips of his and start talkin' to the girl! God knows that men CANNOT talk about their feelings but if he wants Anni he better start talking and start talking FAST! Because of his continuing silence of how he feels she only sees herself as being "The Old Standby." and that hurts. (J)Even with you pushing him away, he wants you so bad he feels like he's cheating on a woman who A: ent never gone out with him, B: keeps saying she doesn't want a relationship with him, and C: treats him like hell when he realises he's been a dope and tries to START a relationship with her. Annalisa has only known that AJ wants a woman who is willing to stay at home and take care of the youngin's. And while that isn't bad... that is NOT what Anni is or wants for her life. Why should she have began a relationship that she knew was doomed from the start? Hell, I cheer Annalisa for not even trying to change the boy. Too many times we women think we can change a man into what we want and boy are we wrong! Annalisa was smart enough to know that she could not change him... he had to change on his own. And true we have seen him trying but for all she knows it could be just temporary and if she starts up with him again it could just lead to heartbreak. But the way he went about it was awkward and made her feel... I don't know... less worthy... er... Like she was the backup in case something BETTER didn't work out. You know? And hey, she was nice enough to actually go out for a drink with the boy right? She isn't completely freezing him out. (J)Anni, Rita just kicked the shit out of him, HE ONLY WENT OUT WITH HER cause you kept saying, "Keep away", he wanted to see if he could POSSIBLY DO WHAT YOU ASKED HIM TO (keep away) he realised that NOT ONLY DID HE FAIL at keeping away, his radar was so fouled that he picked a woman that was about to get him HUNG (Remember treason is a deathpenalty offence), and instead of BEING THERE FOR HIM, you dump on him. Poor AJ, like (was it J or A...) one said, he wanted to see if he COULD stay away, and he CAN't... but we thrive on conflict..well at least I DO. (K)BUT she gives him a small opening too. She's hurt and she sure as heck isn't going to leave herself wide open for another side swipe. I saw it as her saying..ok..we are just friends...She's giving herself a safe opertunity to go out with AJ..IE BOwling..and for him to prove to her exactly to what extent is he commited to her...is it just physical or is there more. This way..if she says they are just friends and nothing pans out..she's no worse for it..and if somethign happens..then..well it happens. AND THEY BOTH said there was nothing there..but AJ said it first..I also believe that there um..objections seem to stem from Wendell and Bobby razing them about the said relationship. I think they wanted to keep it alittle hush hush for awhile and I"m sure they're added presure isn't helping. (K)that's what I have the problem with. AJ and Anni's most intimate moments last about 60 seconds, maybe 2 minutes. They need more time. Argh! Remember WENN is like that -- Rupert Holmes created it and writes about 90-95% of the episodes. I can usually tell an episode that he *hasn't* written (K) then ALL of a sudden he's pro anni..or adleast keeping his thoughts to himself (L) Well M, I think it was more the actor's doing than the writers. The person who did Trials and Tribulations was REALLY good though. (K) SO if he thinks that all of a sudden she's just going to UP and forget everything he's ever said to her or about her..then he's delusional. (K) rhat or he's just hoping that if he doesn't refer back to it or acknowledge it..then maybe she wont either. (K) If whomever did trials would write ALL the episodes..then that would be great..but who ever wrote that soilders one needs L and I to get ahold of them! (M) hehehehe (L) M, it has to do with the producers creators too. Morgan and Wong who did SAAB didn't write most of the eps but they were really in control of the vision and the progress of the "story arcs" in each episode. You can see it in how the last ep can be an ending or a beginning. (M) Yeah, but with what, 4 producers?, this one doesn't seem to be that well managed. (K) Brolin did a great job directing..Trails..I'm sorry but Trials is still my favorite to dte (L) M, well if just a couple took charge it would be great. I just don't think they have this "set" way they want the show to go and that is a shame. (M) K, you're just a sucker for a kiss is all! LOL (L) I HATED the trial scenes but the AJ/Anni thing was very well done. (M) The trial scenes I thought were poorly done (K) I didn't like the trial in it's self. (L) Sal did a great job being confused and hurt and angry in that ep. :) (M) The AJ/Anni stuff was done fairly well. I prefer to see *both* faces when there are two people talking together, though. (K) they should have shown anni..and more of the repercutions.. (K) I liked the look on his face when he realized he just hurt anni's case more than help it. (L) M, even a good actor couldn't have done the Prosecuting attorney well. Ugh. (K) yea..that last scene should have been shot better..but (K) they just needed to get rid of the bobby scenes with the lt commander (K) but it was still the best..Anni should have testified ..that would have been AWESOME..Kathy would have done that justice. (L) K, or flesh them out some. Not enough "meat" on those scenes. (M) Hang on -- KM would have done it justice *IF* the writers had done a good job -- witness Soldiers -- same actors, different writer (K) they do a great job with whatever the writers throw at them to the best of their abilities.. (L) Wait... what was the one with Reiger called again? I liked that one alot. The part with the team. Not Kelly and Betsey Wetsey! At first they were a bit awkward but you can see now that none of them really sucks...well except Kristianne whatever... I can't seperate her from her character. ugh! (L) No, I mean the one where they went after Reiger was good. The dynamic between the team was great. (K) oh that was a great episode!! that and Company town..I like how AJ opened up to ANni.. (K) WHY can't they do that now..why was it easier for him to spill stuff to her then..then now when it really counts? (L) Yeah! The one with the hotel room. That was great. Company Town too. Both were good for characterization despite the plot holes. (L) K! Cause sex or the promise of it ruins everything! (M) Reiger? They need not only better writers but also a better sense of the direction in which they are going. (7) Yes, they can improve on the writing..IMO they have the characters and Brolin is just perrrfect for the role.. (L) 7, I like the characterization, the actors, the growing comraderie between the characters.
