(B)Spoiler info, comments, and resulting discussion


 



(A) What's up with Wendell? He's snotty in this ep. "That's just Lindstrom being Lindstrom." 
Well, if that means she has a clue about people, than I'll agree with that. He didn't miss a chance 
to be snotty -- AJ getting a ticket, the motel room situation. Somebody smack him. 

(K)OK concider Wendell Smacked. I don't know about the ticket thing and hotel
room..I think that was just his way of razing Aj and Anni..but I didn't like
the "That's just Lindstrom being Lindstrom." to me..that ment..well she's a
woman and women read to much "emotional" stuff into things....I didn't like
that coming from Wendell..b/c usually..he's her biggest supporter.

(A)Exactly. And the way the guys dismissed what she had to say on the bleachers
after their workout pissed me off. And did any of them come right out and
say "You were right, Anni?" Nope. Rat Bastards.

(L)Yeah but think about her icky line to the
sheriff. Something along the lines of 
"There was something deeper..." (GAG)
That was as bad as the "he smiles with his
eyes line" she had to say about Kelly. And
why MUST it be Lindstrom who has to make 
those comments? Surely the boys have had 
some life experiences and can relate. I
mean they aren't total neanderthals are they?

(A)It's almost ALWAYS her. She gets the majority of the dopey lines, of which
there are so, so, so many. But, let's not forget AJ uttering those immortal
words to the missing woman's father in Bogey Man: "I'll bet your daughter is
up on a little stage somewhere, singing her heart out." Gag, wretch,
cough...eeewww. My mom might say something like that, but a Marine -- a MALE
MARINE??? Der, duh, I don't think so.

(L)Oh no. I won't smack Wendell. He actually
got to do stuff in this ep so I won't rain
on his parade. In fact I liked his little
performance during AJ trying to weasle out
of the ticket AND his and Bobby's little
boyishness over the motel room situation. 

(A) Speaking of the hotel room situation...what a missed opportunity. One short scene? Argh. This 
could have been really good, instead, it was really short and kinda dumb. "You won't attack me and 
I won't entice you." ENTICE you? What? As far as the sounds coming from the other room, they were 
barely audible. They should have been really obvious, so loud that AJ and Anni couldn't sleep. That 
would have been funny. Somebody smack the writers. 

(A) The obvious stunt doubles have already been mentioned on the website, so I won't get into it here. 
Somebody smack the producers. 

(A) Betsey Wetsey trying hard to emote. Brolin trying hard to emote. I don't think it worked. 
Somebody smack these actors, so real tears will well up in their eyes. 

(L)As I said before, if I EVEN thought of getting
a tattoo as a reminder of my mother who had
passed away (she hasn't but you get what I'm
goin' for) her spirit would rise up and smack
me upside the head for being so stupid.


(A) Anni's gotta start leaving other people's food alone. She took food off a plate at the bar in Power Play, 
and Bobby saw her. Now, she took something off Bobby's plate and -- correct me if I'm wrong -- doesn't 
that drink she's drinking when she sees AJ getting the ticket with Snotty, er, I mean Wendell (sorry Helen) 
belong to Bobby? Somebody smack Anni's hands the next time she picks at other people's food. 

(K)I think it's funny! Actually..in Power play..there are baskets of chips on the
bar..like.pretzels and stuff..that's what she picked up was a chip out of the
basket. But she does take a sip out of Bobby's water when she first sits
down..hehehe..

(A)Ah, missed the basket thing. I thought it was somebody's left overs. I feel
better now. BTW, somebody needs to warn Bobby about his excessive salt
consumption. Marines can't afford to be bloated! Hehehe.

(L)No way. She needs to bulk up a bit. I was
thinking of sending her some Ensures or those
bulk builder things at those pseudo-health
stores. She's a bit tiny to be hanging round
those guys.

(A)I've been wondering about this. In "Road Warriors," at the end, did you
notice how teeny-weeny her little arms are? In RL, would this woman be
allowed in the Corps? She had a tough time throwing the rope over the bridge
in this latest ep. I don't think she is strong enough to do what a Marine
has to do. There is no way she could physically carry any of her teammates,
if someone was in trouble. Get back in the gym, girlfriend. Pump some
iron -- fast!



(A) At some point in the future, do you think we'll learn why AJ is afraid of dark closed-in spaces? The boy's 
afraid, so nobody smack him. 

(A)Don't get me wrong, I liked this ep, but Wendell's gotta de-snot-ify. And the writers, well, let's not even 
go there. So much potential, so little script. 

(L)I think just hit the nail on the head of PWoG's
problem. They do have a lot of potential but
the writers/producers either they botch it or
ignore it. Sad really.

(A) Po' boy was a little frustrated in the motel room.
(M) A -- yeah, what was the deal with that?
(A) Was RR dating GA at the time of the filming of "Acceptable Casualties?" 
Because, Anni mention XF.
(A) M, it was a case of so close and yet so far.
(L) A, had to be.  They just broke up in January.
(L) The Sheriff mentioned NYPD Blue too.  It was weird.
(A) Alone in a motel room with Anni...sounds of people next door having, 
er, um, fun... you know.
(M) A -- "so close" to what?  To Anni?  You think he was having 
feelings for her already -- I guess that would make sense, with the last scene 
of Road Warriors 
(A) But, when did they start dating?
(A) M -- he has feelings for her already.
(A) Trials is the ep after the next one, and he's tripping all over his 
feelings for her.
(K) he starts having feelings for her in Road Warriors
(M) A -- yeah, but she kisses him in the next one and he seems *so* 
surprised!
(A) Question...don't you think Wendell would room with her?
(L) Nawww... AJ's been smitten from the beginning.  He just didn't want 
to admit it.
(K) oh yea..in a sec..wendell and anni are really tight..they trust 
each other
(L) A, cause Bobby & Wendell *know* about them and wanted to make 
them squirm.  Think older brothers.
(K) I konw that..but in show order..thats when he starts expressin his 
feelings
(A) M, yep, but he doesn't mind and certainly doesn't pull away.
(M) A -- I think either Wendell or Bobby would have roomed with her, 
they both just took this opportunity to bug the two of them
(D) Yep M!
(K) probably..
(A) naughty boys.
(ML) gotta love em
(M) I think L has it right -- older brothers type of thing
(K) b/c anni says to wendell in GAME that they have been razing them..
(K) more off screen crap..but I think maybe if Wendell and bobby back 
off a bit..something may come of aj and anni
(K) My feeling is..they both backed off when bobby and wendell got in the act..
(A) Ah! That's right, K.
(L) K, no way.  Anni was smart and wouldn't have started up with AJ 
if he didn't start up with her first.
(M) K -- you have a good point with that re: the other two guys
(B) Annalisa would never allow herself to get seriously involved w/ AJ. 
It would be death to her career.
(D) Would it though?
(M) B -- but do you think she's interested more in her career or in doing 
what she wants to do?
(B) Sure it would, D. 
(L) I don't think Hodges would stand for it, do you?
(ML) that wouldn't stop them from having a fling
(K) but she's also human..and there is SOMETHING There..she needs love and 
companionship too..and it's NOT against regs
(B) Career, definitely
(D) I mean, lots of service personnel actually meet their partners this way..
(B) Needs to look for an out side relationship.
(K) I dont' think HOdges would say anythign unless it was affecting there work.
(D) but I guess they might not be able to be in the same unit after that
(A) Is Hodges hubby a civie?
(K) and after soldiers of misfourtune..in power play..they were bother 
VERY professional.
(K) we dont' know anything about hodges's hubby
(ML) they would not be able to be in the same unit
(ML) I take that back, the same company
(K) why not..there's nothing in marine regs about that..
(K) she can date anyone as long as they are an officer..and not a CO
(M) All we know about Anni is that she really loves what she's doing (from Trials) 
-- but no real indication as to if she wants to climb the ladder in terms of 
promotions and such
