If your clock hasn't been serviced within the last 10 years, more than likely, you will need to have your clock overhauled.
What does an overhaul consist of?
An overhaul consists of taking the clock fully apart. I polish each pivot, replace all necessary bushings, polish all parts, then ultrasonically clean all the parts. I then put the clock back together, test the clock and time it out for 2-3 weeks to ensure the clock is running correctly. After the clock is running up to my satisfaction, I will then repack your clock and ship it back to you with a full 1 year warranty.
I also perform house calls on grandfather, grandmother, and large wall clocks within 200 miles of San Antonio. Please call me(at 210-240-0205) or e-mail me (at mando.garza@worldnet.att.net) for pricing information.
Charges for repair vary depending on the type of clock and amount of work needed to repair it. The charges for most clocks range from $175-$300.
I do NOT do any partial cleanings, oiling or replace parts (mainsprings, suspension springs, etc.) because there is no way to guarantee my work unless I do the work as described as above.
You can send your timepiece to me by UPS, Federal Express, or U.S. Postal Service. Please be sure to insure your item. I will send you a reply along with an estimate by e-mail or letter within 7 days, and how long it will take to repair. If you decide not to have the work done, there will be a $45.00 charge for the estimate plus shipping & handling, and insurance.
