Picture One: This is Thingvellir, where the Althing was held from 930 through 1798.
Picture Two: Another shot of Thingvellir. Thingvellir rests in a canyon between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
Picture Three: Last shot of Thingvellir. This is the place where the Lawspeaker recited 1/3 of the law every year, in front of the assembly. The next year, he would recite the 2nd part, and the last part in the next year.

Picture Seven: Your typical Icelandic vehicle. This puppy drove us up mountains, through rivers, and over ice with no problems.
