DOUG HOEKSTRA COMBO - Hoekstra has two major new productions:  his upcoming 17 song CD Waiting, on which he performed every instrument; and a baby son, Jude Aaron Hoekstra, born Nov. 4.  Where better to toast the blessed events than East Nashville's homey Family Wash , where the Hoekstra Combo play at 9:30 p.m.

DOUG HOEKSTRA COMBO - Avant-garde Americana storyteller Hoekstra is currently finishing up a new, self-produced CD, tentatively titled Waiting, to be released this spring.   If it's anything like the rest of his celebrated, eclectic folk-pop rleeases, expect fresh storytelling with depth and breadth, subdued distinctive melodies and a dash of the unexpected.  With longtime bandmates Pat Meusel (baritone guitar) and Waldo LaTowsky.  Charlie Degenhart opens.
