Amateur Radio and the Morse Code have been life long hobbies for me.  My Amateur Radio Callsign is W2UX.  I was originally licensed as WN2UAX back in 1969.  Shortly afterwards a license upgrade made me WA2UAX.  In 1996, thanks to the vanity callsign program of the F.C.C., I was able to fulfill a life long dream of shortening my callsign by removing the A's and became W2UX.  It has a really smooth sound and rhythm in Morse Code.

Though I primarily use an electronic keyer, I still enjoy using my old bugs from time to time.  See some pictures below.

My Favorite 1941 Vibroplex Lightning Bug

My Jones Key Paddle.  Great Iambic keyer paddle.

Red Hot 40 Kit I built.  Great 40 meter CW QRP kit.  Picture inside and out.

Even the PC board is RED.

A picture of me at Atlanticon QRP gathering in Philadelphia accepting the first prize (The Red Hot 40 kit above) which I won in a Manhattan Style electronic building contest.

An example of a beautiful 1950's Speed-X 114-501 Bug in MINT condition.  The chrome finish does not show up very well in the picture.
