This year people on the Gulf Coast suffered a tremendous loss.
Some people lost everything they owned.
So many of our historical landmarks and beautiful old homes and cottages
that made our area so beautiful were wiped away.
The 1895 Brielmaier House is gone forever,
but not the memories of how beautiful she graced the lawn of Biloxi's Town
Green.
Each Christmas the entire Town Green was decorated with
charming lighted silhouettes depicting our local charm and Christmas scenes.
The cottage will remain in our memories forever,
as will other lovely but lost buildings along the Gulf Coast.
We have been broken, but not destroyed. We will persevere and we will recover.
It is our dream that one day we will see a replica of the Brielmaier
House
once again gracing our Town Green.
May you have the true
spirit of Christmas in your hearts this Christmas,
and in years to come,
and may you count your blessings, large and small,
and pass them on.
May you remember all of the good things and forget the bad,
and may the years to come bring happiness.
Our gift to you this year is the memory of the Biloxi Town Green Cottage.
Merry Christmas!
