The following are various short items from magazines about Anne.

Q: When did you start singing? have you made any albums?

A: "I started singing in school and church, and later, in theater and coffee houses in Boston. There was always a sort of toss-up on whether I'd become a singer and also act or become an actor and also sing. Then I collapsed a lung, which meant no singing for a year. I started to focus on acting. But I still do nightclubs and revues."

"I don't have albums out, but I did a fund-raiser for an American Indian school, Bay Mills, near Sault Sainte Marie (Michigan). They do a big concert they call 'The Dream Catcher' every year to get money for the school. There's a two-CD album, and I have one cut on Volume II - a song that I wrote called 'Flight of the Eagle.' "

AGING

"I am nineteen years old and trapped in this middle-aged body. That is the real story." --Anne Sward (Lyla Peretti, ATWT)

What is your most favorite childhood memory?

"My favorite childhood memory is goign fishing in Maine, in the summertime, in the wilderness, with my family."

Has any actress allowed her real-life baby to play her TV baby?

Anne Sward (Lyla, ATWT) just loves working with her daughter Cori Anne Hansen, who plays her TV daughter Kate Peretti.

What did your mother do to you that you promised yourself that you'd never do to your kids?

"My mom always enforced that I be gracious and generous to people. Even after my resistance, I now know that she was right. As I teach my daughter to say 'Thank you' and 'Please' I see that same resistance, so I go a bit easier on her. She gets away with more than I did."

A Helping Hand: ATWT actress Anne Sward loves having her daughter Cori Anne playing the part of her television kid on the soap. The three year old has free run of the CBS hallways on work days and "she terrorizes the whole building," says Anne. Some might think that W.C. Fields was right if they caught a glimpse of Cori Anne on the set. "She memorizes everybody's blocking," Anne laughs. After a long day of going through the motions of all the actors' moves, Cori Anne has more than once caught her mom calling her by her TV character. "Yes, I've slipped a couple times and called her Katie at home," Anne admits.

What is the strangest wedding gift you recieved?

"A stainless steel baking pan and the $500 champagne bill from friends staying at the hotel."
