Austronesian

Introduction

The Austronesian (AN) languages are spoken in a vaste area extending from Madagascar in the west, Easter Island in the east, Formosa in the north, and New Zealand in the south.  This area is sometimes called Austronesia.  Indonesian is perhaps the most well-known AN language, with perhaps 100,000,000 speakers.
