The Louisiana Gen Web maintains a large number of online cemetery listings which the public can access via several locations: its central archives web page, the parish GenWeb pages, or the GenWeb ftp site. In 1997, I volunteered to edit and annotate some of these listings. By annotate, I mean add notes which identify the parents and spouses of the deceased. The purpose of such annotation is, of course, to facilitate the genealogical research of those who have an interest in the interrees of the cemeteries. With the agreement of the listing compilers, I have also chosen to make the listings I annotate available to gen researchers via this web page.
The listings posted here will be updated as new data on the interrees is received; hence, those interested in downloading copies of the annotated cemetery listings should revisit this site periodically to check for revised listings.
Please report any errors to LV Hayes <lvhayes@worldnet.att.net>. If you can identify the parents and/or spouses of anyone on the listings who is not already annotated, it would be greatly appreciated if you would send the information to the same addressee.

USER NOTICE: If you see an error in the annotation, please don't send irate and/or abusive mail to the listing compilers or me and accuse us of trying to rewrite your family's history, as a couple of folks did recently. Don't bother the compilers at all; they generally have nothing to do with the annotation. Send your complaints to me --- and be nice. I use the best info I can obtain, but nothing I get comes with any guarantee that it is absolutely and unquestionably correct. Cemetery annotation is hard and time-consuming work, and I get surprisingly little help, so I have neither the desire nor the time to put up with anybody's attitude problem, especially when the person has made no effort to help in the first place. If corrections need to be made, I will make them first on the listings that are accessible here; it takes longer to get the corrections made on the listings in the Louisiana GenWeb archives.
