Leonardo Andrea was a professional genealogist who lived in Columbia, SC. His birth and death years are unknown to this writer, but he did genealogical research during the 1940s, 50s, and 60s. He also left over 1,000 files on the families he researched. On two occasions, Andrea was hired by Tisdale descendants to look into Tisdale genealogy. In 1944, he compiled a report for Mrs. Dudley Winston Conner (nee Lorene Rayborn) of Hattiesburg, MS, who was a great-great-granddaughter of Pleasant Tisdale (I'm also a descendant of Pleasant). I have never been able to obtain a copy of this report, but rumor has it that the document contained information on Tisdales and related families and was one half to one inch thick---in other words two to four times or more larger than the report presented here and discussed next.
In 1954, Andrea did a second report for Paul V. Draughn, also of Hattiesburg, MS, who was a great-great- grandson of Prudence (Tisdale) Draughn (Pleasant's sister). This report comprises 21 pages (actually 23 because page 19 is divided into 3 pages), which are presented here. Andrea produced 11 of these pages from notes he had compiled in the process of doing the genealogical research prepatory to writing his first report for Mrs. Conner. The remaining pages were apparently sent to Andrea by Draughn and Beulah Tisdale, who belongs to a different family of Tisdales, namely the "yankee" Tisdales who immigrated to New England in the 1630s. Among these pages are several copies of pages from an old bible, which an aunt of Paul V. Draughn owned. This bible may have belonged originally to Prudence Tisdale, who married Joshua Draughn, or to their son, John Tisdale Draughn. The death dates of her and Pleasant's parents, John and Jane Tisdale, are recorded therein.
Copies of Andrea's research, including the second report on the Tisdales, are reportedly available in paper at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC and in microfilm at the Clayton Library in Houston, TX and at LDS family history centers via loan from Salt Lake City, UT. In many cases, it is difficult for Tisdale researchers to access these copies. For that reason, the writer has decided to make a copy of the second Tisdale report available here.

1. The photocopy of the report I have was apparently made from a carbon copy of the original prepared by Leonardo Andrea. Those of you familiar with carbon copies---probably few in these advanced days of computer printers---will realize that this is the reason the text is hard to read in places and parts of it are missing in other places.
2. The bible pages (14-18) were originally copied by a process that produces a negative image, i.e. light colors are turned black, dark colors white. This effect has been reversed.
