The new director of Madrigals and Chorale is Mr. Tyrone Dinkins, another former student teacher of mine.  The Madrigals sang at our monastery this past Holy Thursday, and they were wonderful!  Also, the Mads sang at mom's funeral Mass.  They were magnificent.  Not a dry eye in the chapel.  They did the same arrangement they did at my dad's funeral 12 years before:  Precious Lord Take My Hand.  It impressed my mom so much at the time that she had it carved on the family headstone.   A part of my heart will always be with this group, and I expect them to continue to uphold the standards of excellence.

     Dad's scholarship… was again awarded this year. We are most grateful for this way of honoring my dad, and of helping a Madrigal Singer. The Singers give so much to the community, and make such sacrifices to do so, that in this way we can help at least one senior. Contributions for the Edward J. Carroll Memorial Madrigal Scholarship can be sent to Madrigals c/o William Tennent High School, 333 Centennial Rd, Warminster PA 18974.
