Winter 2009
"What do you do?" has never been an easy question for me! For 27 years it was "direct the Madrigal Singers"; for seven, "Music Coordinator,Centennial"; for 4, "Chorale director "; for -- oog -- 25 years, it was "Choral and Theatre Director, WTHS"; plus all the other odd gigs, some college teaching, writing…. Now, it's still hard to answer in one phrase. I'm organist and music director at the Carmelite Monastery in Philadelphia; I'm an adjunct associate professor at Westminster Choir College in Princeton; I work on the music of Ephrata (awaiting publication); I'm editing the Monastery Hymnal; A short story anthology is still out, and a new book on PA hymn writers; and there are all those odd little gigs here and there. I've written quite a few articles … Oh, yes, now there are the mice, too! The mice are in books, too. So, let's just say, "I'm a musician".
