After the party, I drove a couple of the party attendees back to the
Adam's Mark, while Mycroft followed me. Since one of my passengers
lived a few blocks away, and the other was staying with him, I gave Mycroft
my key and told him what our room number was before taking them home.
When I returned, I met up with Mycroft and KT, and helped Mycroft move
his bags and computer in. After everything had been moved in, and
I had my sleeping bag and air mattress set up on the floor, we called it
a night.
After the opening, I saw some more fursuiters wandering the halls (Photo 2, Photo 3, Photo 4). I went back up to the room to get my laptop out and check my email, and found KT laying on his bed. Apparently, a previous meal didn't agree with him, so I decided to let him have some peace and quiet instead of firing up the computer. I went to the internet room, but they were having some network problems, so I couldn't check my mail from there.
Eventually, it was time for the Funday Pawpet Show, so I went down to wait in line. Soon, it was ten minutes past time for the Pawpet show, and we were still waiting. Finally, they opened the doors and everyone entered the room. Uncle Kage started to welcome everyone, but his microphone wasn't working. They soon got that fixed and he started to introduce Mutt, but instead got Tod Ferret. Apparently, Mutt couldn't find his collar, and didn't want to come out naked. He soon found it, got dressed, and came out to host the show. Rasvar ran through the audience with a wireless mike for Roll Call. They then started talking about one of the magazines named "Skymall" that was on the plane and that they could have picked a better cover picture than a nosehair trimmer. KP hosted an Ugly T-shirt contest (Photo 2, Photo 3, Photo 4), which was won by Tibor. As usual, the prize was "Win Nothing and Like It!" Shak appeared, but it seems that he had turned into a Coke bottle at the airport. Herbie and Devin took part in a "Fat Bastard" weigh-in to see who had lost the most weight. Devin was the runner-up and Chilly Mouse presented him with a can of "Grass Jelly Soda", which she then tasted. Herbie tried some of the soda next. The trash can was there to catch his "reaction" to the taste. Simba had brought in a "Segway", which is a two-wheeled scooter with both wheels on the same axle and the driver rides it standing over the axle. KP gets ready to try riding the Segway. Simba then demonstrates how to ride it, and almost wipes out on some chairs. Next, Tibor took it on a ride down the steps and through the audience. Next, Susan Deer and Kage were brought on stage to go through the "Pink Flamingo Challenge". They had to watch the last scene of a movie while eating, and keep it down. They both passed the test. Next was "Spits or Swallows". The object of this game was to eat and keep down some disgusting food item. In this case, the food was Durian, which Sue described tasting like "Gummi Bears made from sewage". A few people were willing to try some Durian, with an appropriate receptacle nearby. Once the challenges were over, Poink got into an altercation with Kage, and it appears that Poink got the upper hand. Next up was a sing-along with Arthur, followed by the grand finale of a performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Poink, a "few"of his fellow ferret puppets, and Elvis, a live ferret. (Photo 4, Photo 5, Photo 6, Photo 7, Photo 8, Photo 9).
After the Pawpet show was done, I decided to check out a session of
Mad-Libs, hosted by Silverfox. (Aw, he
moved.) This was a PG-13 set of four stories, starting with "In Elanti's
Budoir", followed by "Hangin' at the Singles Bar", "Back at Leroy's Place",
and "Elanti's Film Session". There was supposed to be a fifth story,
but time was up way too soon. The next thing I went to was the "Eye
of Argon" reading. KT had participated in this at Further
Confusion 2003, and I was looking forward to seeing how it would go.
We waited for about 20 minutes for the moderator and the script to show
up, during which time KT attempted to lead his
own version. After it was determined that it wasn't going to go on,
everyone went on to other things. I wandered up to the video room
for a little bit, then went over to the internet room and logged into the
#warnercafe. Richard Fox wanted me to relay a "purchase order" to
KT for him to pick up a CD of Karabiner's artwork from Ken Singshow's table.
Luckily, KT was just across the hall in the Con Suite, so the message was
quickly delivered. Eventually, the day started to catch up with me,
and it was time to snaf.
I went back up to the video room and was able to catch some of the "Animalympics" video tape I had brought in. Soon it was time for the Animation Industry forum presented by Herbie Bearclaw, who works for Disney studios and has worked on "The Lion King", "Mulan", "The Emperor's New Groove", and several others.
Back downstairs, there were a group of fursuiters having a tickle-fest while waiting for Uncle Kage's Story Hour to begin, and they were soon joined by Spiderman. Outside was a car that had been turned into an artist's canvas. (Photo 2, Photo 3, Photo 4, Photo 5) I'm not sure, but I think that the owner was planning to put the car into the charity auction at Midwest FurFest or some other furry con.
Eventually, they opened the doors for Uncle Kage's Story Hour. While waiting for it to start, Tony Ringtail stopped by to discuss something with KT. Soon, Kage appeared on stage and sat down at a small dining table. His "waiter" soon appeared, took his order, and shortly returned with his wine order. After a few minutes, (and a few sips of his wine), he realized that this was supposed to be his story hour, and not a sidewalk cafe. His story subjects included "wine auctioneer", "tuxedo rental", "wine sampling", "snowstorm", "his new haircut", "Mapquest, The Bronx, and a one-eyed woman", "Matrix Reloaded", "his trip to England" (supposedly mentioned at Unclekage.com), "call to Dr. Kay", "Mayfield Clinic", "PHD's", and ended with a story about locking his keys in his car.
Following the Story Hour was the Masquerade, hosted
by SK-1. The participants and / or acts were:

And finally, a Group Photo of all the Masquerade
participants.
Following the masquerade, the hallway provided some more fursuit photo opportunities. There was a blue and white... uh... wolf(?), what looks like a black cat (Must've gotten some dust on the lens), a white tiger and hyena, and a very red fox in a red suit.
Later that evening was 2's Comedy Blend at the Laughing Cockatoo Comedy
Club, hosted by 2 the Ranting Griffin.
SpazFox was the opening act, and Kage joined
in later on. (I need to get a camera with a zoom lens sometime.)
Then following the comedy was the feature audience participation film,
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show".
After the parade, I went back to the dealers den to check on my con badge, and The Gneech was just finishing it up. Too soon, it was time for the closing ceremonies (photo 2, photo 3). They announced that there were 1949 attendees this year, once again making it the world's largest anthropomorphics convention.
That evening, I hung out with the Tiny Toon gang
in the Zoo. (Standing, left to right) hkUriah, Brainsister, Pepe
K., Mycroft Bunny. (Seated, left to right) Squirrley, Thorne, Leloni
Bunny, Foxglove, KT, Murray Mouse. Murray,
(center), was kind enough to do a color drawing of my character, Lou
Leghorn. Sketches were also done by Brainsister
and KT.
After the sightseeing was done, I proceeded towards Newark, NJ.
