Louie Leghorns Taurmania Pictures

Friday, August 13, 1999

These pictures were taken by me, Chicken Lou (Larry Torrance), so you won't see a giant chicken in most of them.

KT has more pictures and his cartoon diary at KT's Cartoon Trip Diaries & Photos

Vakko also tells his side of the story on his Taurmania page (link no longer available).

I arrived at stable about 3:30pm. Vakko (Paul Neubauer), Michael (Eric O. Costello) and Richard (Richard Manning) already there. Yakko (Chris Eslinger) showed up a little later. Went to JaTee's to eat and wait for KT (Andrew Mutchler) and Acme (Brian Norman). Came back to motel to check in, then returned to stable. Eric got his birthday cake and some gifts were exchanged. Watched some "Private Snafu" videos while KT manned the IRC station.

We left the stable at 6:45am, enroute to the Renaissance Festival. We passed the entrance around 8:30 am, and kept going. At about 8:50, Vakko finally exited the highway and pulled over so that he could figure out where the festival was. I asked if it might be where we passed the huge banner that said "Renaissance Festival" about 20 miles back. He mumbled something, got back into his car, and took off back to the festival, where we arrived about 9:10.

At this point, my digital camera died. All pictures after this time were taken with a disposable camera.

We watched a couple of jousting contests, did some archery, watched Michael and Richard in an "armed combat" and a fencing contest, and walked around looking at all of the shows, shops, etc. We later went back to where the stocks were, where Vakko arranged to have Michael arrested. Once Michael figured that the stocks assistant wasn't just being friendly, he made a valiant attempt to escape, but was finally captured. After his release, Vakko was arrested as a repeat offender, and accused of being a eunich.

The "disposable" camera used for most of these pictures must have had a light leak or something, causing red streaks on several pictures.

KT and Acme had to leave early this morning to catch a plane in Minneapolis. The rest of us hung around the stable until lunchtime. After eating lunch at a nearby Chinese restaurant, we said our goodbyes before Yakko and I went our separate ways.

I'v been back home a couple of days, and decided to go to the Indiana State Fair. I couldn't believe that I actually saw these...
Photo039 Pinky and Brain plushes (crunchies?)
Photo040 Wakko and Dot plushes. (Sorry, Okkay... no Yakko plushes)

That's all of the pictures that I have. I look forward to the next 'mania that I can attend. (Who knows... there may eventually be a "ChickenMania???)

Return to my Animaniacs page.
