I would have taken more pictures, but my digital camera had decided to stop talking to its memory card on occasion.

Wed. 6/28/00
Boogi arrived at Lou's place in preparation for the ride to Anthrocon in Philadelphia this weekend. The night before, Chilly had sent me a copy of her pong list so that I could print it out and give to her at AC!, since she didn't have access to a printer. Boogi looked the list over, and found that even though he wasn't really sure what a pong was, he apparently was pretty good at making them, having made her list at least five times.

Thurs. 6/29/00
Boogi and I left Indianapolis around 8am (9 ET) for our trip to AC!. The trip was fairly uneventful, except for seeing the result of a couple of truck accidents in Ohio, driving through some tunnels on the Pennsylvania turnpike, and of course the inevitable construction zones. We *finally* arrived at King of Prussia, PA, about 9pm. After dropping off my stuff at the Best Western, we went to the Hilton and waited to unload Boogi's bags and costume equipment. While waiting for a cart, Boogi found Chilly, and she came out to say hi. We finally got Boogi's stuff taken in, and came down to the "Zoo" where Chilly, Phar Fignewton, and Bugzy were. Chilly was busy doing some artwork. There was also some furs in costume walking around (pic 1), (pic 2), (pic 3), while Boogi looked through his stuff. He soon was in costume joining the other furs. Chilly got a call from Brendan saying that he had gotten in on the train and needed a ride. Wolven Terror, Chilly and I went to pick him up, and after a few wrong turns we finally found him. We got back to the Hilton, and after hanging out for a while, we all finally decided to call it a night.

Fri. 6/30/00
Everyone pretty much just walked around checking the dealer and art rooms and attending some of the forums. As usual, there were several fursuiterswalking around. Most of us went to the Pawpet show and had a good time (pic 1), (pic 2), (pic 3), (pic 4), (pic 5), (pic 6), (pic 7), (pic 8), (pic 9). Kinky Turtle, Wakky Mouse, KeV, and Egg all arrived at various times during the day. We all tagged along to the Fursuiter & Friends Feast and Frolic at a nearby Italian restaurant. They had a third anniversary celebration of the engagement of , two furries, Trixi and Tet, and gave them some anniversary gifts. That evening, "Uncle Kage", the 'con chairman, presented his traditional "Story Hour", where he would relate funny stories of real life experiences.
One story he told was about when he went to the bank early that morning to get change for the registration tables. He had gotten up a little late, and threw on a black sweatsuit. When he showed up at the bank in his disheveled hair and sweatsuit, he went up to a teller that he knew with a large bag, and handed her his withdrawal slip. She proceeded to fill the bag with the (legally) withdrawan money, after which he turned around to leave when he saw a couple of police cars pull up in front of the bank. ...After some conversations with the bank manager and the police, they determined that one of the other tellers had pressed the alarm. The manager said that he would have a talk with that teller, when Kage told him that she should be commended for doing just what she was supposed to. Of course, he told the story alot better than I did here.

Sat. 7/1
Several of us got together for lunch at Pizza Hut, including Egg,Wakky, Brendan, Wolven Terror, and Chilly. A couple of the Pawpet performers also joined us. Back at the Hilton, the fursuits were still about (pic 1), (pic 2), (pic 3), (pic 4), (pic 5), in addition to the occasional robotic rabbit puppet. At the entrance to the "Zoo", there is a drawing pad for anyone to doodle on, and I found where Egg, KT, and Chilly made their presence known. Up in Brendan and Bugzy's room, Brendan, Wakky, Bugzy, Phar, KT, and Egg were MST'ing daytime tv while I was working on this AC! page.
When the time came, we went down to watch the Masquerade. There were many skits performed by fursuiters (accompanied by the occasional human), including appearances by Fifi LaFume, and finished with a special guest appearance by the lovely Minerva Mink! The pictures can be found on the Masquerade sub-page. After the show, we found Minerva in the hall, and I took a picture of KT with Minerva and then KT took one each of Phar and me with her. ***Wish you were here, Michael M. Mink, esq.***!
That evening, there was an Anthromania Party (or is it this way??) held in one of the rooms at the Hilton. Some of the partygoers played Twister, then we watched some videos, including "PPPGALF", "You Said a Mouseful", and "Star Warners". Chilly also demonstrated how small she is by being lifted by Zot and Wakky, and a size comparision with Zot. During the evening, Max Blackrabbit, the creator of Zig Zag, stopped by to let KT and Chilly add their interpretations of Zig Zag to Max's "Zig Zag Bible". (I did get a photo of KT's entry in the book, but it will not be presented here at this time due to the nature of the drawing. Sorry, Richard!!) Zot and Bugzy also took out time to wave for the camera. Finally, around 3am, some of us decided that it was getting too hard to stay awake and decided to go back to our rooms.

Sunday, 7/2
Before most things opened up, I noticed this warning sign on the door of the art room. I decided not to see whether or not they were kidding. I later found Bugzy, Chilly, and Wakky in the "Zoo", where Chilly was working on some drawings (pic 1)(pic 2). I went to look at the art room after it opened (cameras not allowed), when I noticed "Uncle Kage" carrying on a conversation with one of the "Pawpet" characters.
Chilly had made a couple of "special drawings" for Zot, and he appeared to be somewhat surprised at the second one. Meanwhile, Glis was hard at work on a drawing for Egg.
After the closing ceremonies, Phar, KT, Bugzy, Chilly, Wolven Terror, Egg, and I went to Pizza Hut for dinner. When we got back, KT brought a Minerva picture that he had purchased and wrapped for Michael Mink to Chilly's room so she could deliver it to him. We then went up to a room where they were playing tapes of Pawpet Show "outtakes".

Monday 7/3
Before leaving for home, boogi and I went back to the Hilton to see if anyone was still there. We found Chilly and spent some time visiting with her in her room before heading down to the lobby, where there were more people waiting to leave. We said our final goodbyes and started on our trip back to Indiana.

That's all of the pictures that I have. I look forward to the next 'mania that I can attend. (Who knows... there may eventually be a "ChickenMania???)
