A detailed description and a colored, detailed drawing of what is thought to be the entire operational furnace is mounted in the park on the lower terrace, somewhat to the right of the structure.
Another copy of the drawing and explanation and an extensive description of the history of the furnace is kept at the George's Creek Library, history room, on Main Street in Lonaconing. The history exhibit is pictured on the exhibit album and the catalog is available at www.lonaconing.cc | |
