for information on my grandfather's first wife, Sarah Elizabeth GILRAINE or GILRAIN, who
was born to James GILRAINE and Mary DYER on June 13, 1869 in Rutland Township.  She
married my grandfather, Allen Marvin HALL of Isle La Motte, Vermont, on October 16,
1896 in Lynn, Massachusetts.  Though Sarah died of "childbed fever" shortly after the
birth of her second daughter in 1900, her family stayed in close contact with the HALLs for
a number of years, and my late father remembered them as a sprited, feisty, fun-loving
Irish bunch from Rutland.  I would love to find out more about Sarah's background, in
part because I am her namesake.  Thank you,  Sarah Elizabeth Hall.  (posted 24 Sep 2001).
