Welcome to the Middletown Ramblers Square Dance Club's Home Page

The Middletown Ramblers, founded in 1970, teaches and promotes Western style square dancing in Middletown, NJ. We dance at Plus level every Friday night and conduct classes on Tuesdays from September thru Mid-June.

We feel new dancers and students are the life blood of a square dance club. Every effort is made to accommodate these people and make them both welcome and comfortable. We do this by having class level dances and modified Plus dances during the summer. These summer dances include workshops, reviews and caller-led instruction on calls missed during the regular Tuesday instructions.

Equipment

Williams Sound PPA VPE Personal PA System includes a transmitter tuned to 72.9 MGHz - the Caller Lab recommended frequency. The transmitter is connected to the callers equipment and dancers use R7 receivers with ear buds to hear clearly from anywhere in the room. Noise and acoustic problems do not interfere with the dancers ability to hear the caller. If a dancer has hearing difficulties, requiring a hearing aid, the ear bud can be used in addition to or replace one of the hearing aids. This eliminates background noises.

Receivers are available for dancer's use on a trial basis. They are available for purchase at our dances.
